So, i know my hands shakey as hell.. and that definitely makes it difficult when it comes time to check out my trichomes... so i just rigged this super simple microscope holder.
Lol prob way too easy for me to be this proud about it, but i always prefer to build vs buy.

Basically just took the base off the stand. Then drilled some 7/32" holes into a 48" dowel and screwed the little clamp into the the holes. I plan to drill holes at set spaces along the side to allow for more flexibility.

Love these guys I would get me one but then I'd have to buy the habitat and keep him happy and it's actually a lot of work to raise lizards especially when they are more on the exotic side.

well first I have to get a control panel in my garage...which is what is delaying the whole tent purchase as I have to save for an electrician to Come out and put one in. it's a fiasco. I tried to get it in the house purchase but they wouldn't agree to put one in so I've been saving for that. I could buy the tent but I'd have no power for anything.

Speaking of trains - you guys ever hear of Hobo Shoestring? He posts a lot of videos on YT of his trips across the country, Alaska and whatnot. Pretty cool dude I would love to take a ride with him someday. He's an Army veteran, too.

Yeah he knows like all the train routes across the country he's been doing this for years and years. Pretty amazing. I've always wanted to jump on a train just to see where it goes, this guy already knows! I've even reached out to him and offered up a spare bedroom at my ranch if he's ever in my part of Colorado. Hopefully someday he'll take me up on that! I'd love to go to Alaska with him, too he goes there a lot and knows a lot of cool spots off the beaten trail.Hell yes! I've been homeless too so I can definitely relate to his lifestyle. He's gotten so popular on YT now that he actually has a pretty decent income and uses it to pay for an apartment. I guess his health has taken a turn over the past couple of years so living outdoors isn't always an option for him anymore.
I've never met him personally but I have seen his tags before - the dude's been everywhere Lol

Don't forget - 10% bleach/water solution when you go to wipe everything down - kills that evil HLV'd even if it's not around you, prevention is cheaper than mitigation!
Also - doing pretty well today. If I can get motivated enough to finish painting my bedroom I'll be doing alright!

Looking nice! Do you use distilled or purified water in your humi? I didn't until i started noticing some white powder on my glass desk.. lol and not the kind of powder anyone would want on their desk..switched to distilled, but i know its gonna be a bitch when i harvest and have to scrub everything

Well I use distilled, don’t want any solids floating around. I don’t even have to run it right now. I will when that sun comes back out and the rain burns off though. I figure by Saturday I’ll need to hook it up…..

Studies have shown that viroids can remain infectious for longer than 24 hours on most common surfaces , 7 weeks in water and months to years in dried plant debris and seeds.
Now i'm gonna rethink my sterilization process
