Hi, What would you all recommend for "the best" grow lamp for a 3' by 6' grow area? Hopefully energy efficient too. And if going bigger area, would you get more of the same lights or go with a different one? Thanks!

I don't know of a light that's perfect for that space by itself. I'd use two lights meant for a 3x3...Mars Hydro is what I'm familiar with, so either two FC3000s, or two FCE4800s. The other manufacturers all make something similar.

Yeah what @ArtfulCodger said, I just bought 2 more of the FC e3000's (the bridgelux diodes), 199.00 on sale, these are good fixtures, cocoforcannabis.com full review, he actually recommended these over the fc3000 (samsung diodes)?. YMMV, the samsung you would think would last longer? but 269.00 USD each, I also go for smaller/multiple fixtures rather than 1 large fixture that only fit 1 tent size, If 1 light goes down you move in another, and you dont lose all your lighting at once, I have 4 of these now, and still have 2 tsw 3000's.(and a storage unit with 8 old halide/hoods) 2 of These would be a good fit for your 3 x 6 Wade. cocoforcannabis has a lot of reviews/info might help You - marshydro is punching above their weight ! affordable bar style lights

I personally use Viparspectra. But marshydro spider farmer etc, for all intents and purposes if you are spending under 500 all LED products the same. Pick your branding.

if you have deeper pockets look into the mammoth line of products

One thing to keep in mind when comparing PAR maps, which sometimes gets missed or glossed over, is hanging height. For example, if you look at Coco For Cannabis's PAR maps of the Mars Hydro FC3000 and FCE3000, normalized to a maximum of 1000 ppfd, the FC hangs five inches higher than the FCE, presumably because the Samsung diodes are more efficient. That puts more light into the corners, because the distribution is better, and creates a deeper canopy, because the light is more powerful. A good grower would make up the price difference in yield on the first grow. The FCE is a fine light, but since you asked about "the best," I thought it was worth pointing out. If you're just starting out, and especially if you're in soil, two FCE3000s would be plenty. If you're in hydro with supplemental CO2, I'd get more light.
