Mornin' Capt!
I keep forgetting that people in different places, are in different seasons. How very American of mein winter they crazy white when its cold cap kinda does that with any strain.
I like to think of myself as adventurous.... but takin a box cutter to a plant a week before harvest scares me lol.I posted this in a different thread yesterday, figured I’d toss it in here. Love the practice. Though I tend to use drills more than box knives. Unless they are clones with smaller main stalks.

Splitting Stems: Should You Take A Knife To Your Cannabis Plant? - RQS Blog
Stem splitting is a controversial high-stress technique believed to originate from Dutch growers in the 1970s. Click here to learn whether it really works.www.royalqueenseeds.com

So when you end up taking a knife or drill to it. I have never had a plant bitch at me for it. I know, sounds crazy, but it’s true. Not one pissy leaf. I’m just tossing it out for brain food. I’d never post something that could ruin someone’s crop potentially. Seems crazy counterintuitive though right?I like to think of myself as adventurous.... but takin a box cutter to a plant a week before harvest scares me lol.
Maybe when i have a big enough grow room so that a loss of a plant would't destroy my yeild.. lol maybe i'm getting ahead of myself.. i need to figure out my nutes and lights first
I do want to try some super-cropping on this grow though. Going to do a second topping this weekend, going to have a better idea of my canopy layout then.
Space nugs. Absolutely.I like the believe that's weed in the visormade it this morning
So not once the splitting didn't take? That's an interesting thought to think on. I'd try it at some point. So when you end up taking a knife or drill to it. Especially for you, a natural way to boost trichs on a water only diet!Sounds like something for me to try in the future for sure
Exactly. You’d think the world would end, when I first did it ten years ago, I thought I was losing my mind. But nope. It works. Much easier to see the overall benefits in indoor grows, outdoor, the plants are already so large it’s tough to tell. But I have noticed a solid 10-20% increase over plants I left alone to see.In all honesty the only thing a plant is doing at that time is maturing trichomes. Fuck it, why not?
Lol yeah i get that.. im convinced.. might try it on one this time aroundIn all honesty the only thing a plant is doing at that time is maturing trichomes. Fuck it, why not?
Lol i dont doubt it works. Just doubting my skills. I'm genuinely interested though. Might do it to one and compare in the name of science! So when you end up taking a knife or drill to it.
