I was that dude who used to take pride in pit injuries. When my shirt is off, my collarbone is in the shape of a check mark. Never went and got it fixed, I couldn’t get out of bed on my own for 6 weeks. I had to rock like a turtle on its shell to get up. It was teeeeeeerrrrible. Dislocated a hip, broke an ankle. Blown shoulders. Black eyes and broken nose. I really did love that shit. I used to start in the middle of the pit flipping the band off until they noticed me. Then just get dumb. A lot of it’s a blur. But the injuries, a couple have stuck with me because I’m an idiot. WORTH IT.

You shouldn’t need to, unless you are trying to insulate from cold. You see how I have my rooms. Just like your garage. Plastic not necessary, mats are nice. It’s really about what you like homie

I recommend it! Something to keep the roots off the cold cement would help in winter. And prevent them from sitting in a puddle.

I turned some cheap dollar store flower pot stands upside down and chopped the legs off.
