Hey anyone, new to growing autoflowers. Is it ok to trim off some of the bigger fan leaves, going into there 4th. Week.

is there a need is your tent getting to full or something

It’s hard to say bud without knowing if it’s starting to stretch as you don’t want to take anything off during the stretch phase personally I wouldn’t they hold the plants food and act as a buffer

4th week of life? 4th week of flower? You can remove some that are covering bud site or if you have a full canopy and need air flow. But the leaves are solar panels giving life to your plant helping it grow absorbing light. I don't cut unless there's a need to or if lollypopping the undergrowth I like my big leaves.

pics would help but at 4 weeks of life I say leave them alone.

Tent is not full, just super bushy

Let it grow, solar panels don't need trimming until they've out lived their usefulness. The bigger they get the faster they get bigger, cutting off their source of energy doesn't help them in veg

I never take off fan leaves from my autos. Only when they yellow will I remove them, and that’s usually late into flower. Close to finish ✌️😊💚

To get rid of popcorn producers, improve air circulation, for ease of training and watering and to open up and expose bud sites, I like to remove inefficient solar panels as soon as I get a mature fifth node, again the first week of flower and once more 3 weeks later to achieve the anatomy in the last pic.

I get rid of as many fan leaves as possible at day 21-ish and then light deleafs after that all the way through.. Garden maintenance is critical no matter what kind of plant you are growing

also** it depends quite a bit on the style of garden you are growing and what you want the end product to be..

Right totally understandable but that is for your style of growing. If you want the tight dense icy buds and the bag appeal thats all the rage right now with tha' kids then that style doesnt really fly. Again it depends on what kind of end product you are shooting for. I've done both but currently on the "what sells the best" style of gardening which is heavy light on well cleaned/pruned plants
