Doh !
Saaaight homie! I already went over the car, it’s race ready, the brakes on it are plenty nice, wilwood carbon on disc. Line lock is doing its job, 2 step is holding the rpm’s in the sweet spot on the line. Went over the throttle linkage as well. The top of the gear box on the pistol shifter is all crispy. This hippy is ready to rip 😂 if you couldn’t tell, I’m waaaaay past ready to run this year.

Don't forget the rubbers! Man when I used to go racing with my old boss from the Euro shop we brought more fuel cans and tires than anything. Definitely buy your fuel in Texas if ya can, it's gotta be cheaper than where you're going!

The vp I run is about 22 bucks a gallon. Doesn’t matter where you are. All tracks that are Nhra certified have their national price point on it. And the tires are definitely ok too, when I pickle the car during the times I’m not running, it gets jacked up and rested on 2 12x12 blocks to avoid flat spotting on the slicks, otherwise every filling in your mouth would get knocked loose about half track hahaha! You know the drill!

Luvly, jubbly ! 😍

Wilwoods are rare this side of the pond, but held in high regard. Last set I saw in the flesh were fitted to an old school Mini Cooper.

Rear seat had been removed, and the owner had dropped in a Honda K20, complete with v-TEC ! Went like stink to about a 120 mph, and was like a train on rails.

Bro, I have 2 gps beacons on the trailer. 1 on car 1 on the box. Passive ping gps. Also, the slab out back, I shot some 5 inch heavy duty eye hooks into the concrete, I chain both axles Down, then I jack up the whole trailer, put it all on stands and I take the wheels. And I park up to the hitch everyday. I’m a bit looney about it hahaha. Definitely a smoke screen in tow hahaha
That's the way to do it. Honestly, it's stuff like this that i expect you to lock up. I mean it is an amazing ride, but the labor and sentimental value that you have put into it make is priceless

I want to make sure I get the most benefit out of mykos (mycorrhizae). I started my seeds in paper towel with mykos granules powdered around them, and then once they had cracked open, moved them to a pinhole in the coco where i'd powdered a bit of mykos at the bottom.

Yesterday I realized, since I have autos, I probably won't be seeing roots directly again to innoculate, so I 'tilled' the coco a bit with a toothpick til I saw exposed parts of the seed tail, and gave all of them a couple mist sprays with water with mykos mixed in.

Today, a few of them are poking their heads through the top. The coco is still rather wet, and I know til roots are established letting it dry at least a bit is good.. but at this point should I do anything else or are they likely innoculated enough? I have a pretty big bag and if it could help, I'm not afraid to use more than just a few pinches.

Bro, you really don’t need to do anything like that honestly, seeds are packed with plenty of nutrients to get them through to full switch to veg. I’m not a coco guy though, but as long as you are supplementing cal mag with ro water, your seedlings shouldn’t need stuff like that, now, this old dog could be dead wrong, but if I am, I would love to know the answer here too…..

this isnt about getting the seeds to germinate (they already are and look healthy). it's just about getting the mycorrhizae to colonize sooner rather than later so it can benefit the plant for longer.

Ah fair enough, foot is firmly inserted in my mouth 👊🏻😂

I’m always interested in the coco stuff, I don’t have the balls to run it myself, just been a soil head for so long it is what it is. I love how interesting coco runs seem to be, a completely different toolbox is needed, for a completely different set of dynamics. So I’m here for it!

yeah, I just jumped into it without thinking too much about it lol. Either way whatever I do will be a learning experience and it's likely a mistake or two will be made, and most say ends up with better yields, so since I need to learn one for the first time anyways went with coco. The only thing I'm not looking forward to so much is watering daily, but shouldnt be terrible; i'll be wanting to check on them daily anyways.

On a side note, an unrelated question. On RQS website I read an article that brought up how amino acids are good for plants. I looked into it and have seen little research on it, or even mention of it. I also see next to no products with all 20 amino acids that they said would be needed. Is this a known thing? Does anyone have any experience or ever even heard of using amino acids? I'll skip it for now regardless but just curious

I'd agree with that, 100%. Most important thing for seeds and seedlings is high RH, until the root system properly develops.

I'd avoid adding anything until the plant is established - 3-4 weeks at least.

I think I may have seen a video with the question being reviewed, but it wasn’t given enough of an explanation one way or the other if memory serves….

Don't need to be exclusive soil, @Captspaulding. I've used both coir and rockwool in the past, but now make my own compost.

Locally sourced plant nursery compost, (excellent dark colour, high organic content, and lovely crumbly texture) + coir + perlite, 3/1/1 ratio. Works a treat for me, excellent root formation.

Yeah I’m a simple man, I run fertilome potting mix, zero amendments, maybe some perlite, but it’s usually on point there. I run advanced and that. Some top dressing with casting blood/bone meal when needed maaaaaybe. But that depending on strain demand. I’ll have to give your mix a try, stick around you’ll see I can leave well enough alone. I have a few threads that I have gotten wacky on. I like doing things outside the box sometimes you know?

I do.

I try and keep things simple, if poss. KISS syndrome. More things you add, more chance of summat going wrong.

I prefer au natural, too. Seaweed extract, guano, (in small amounts, is strong stuff !), rainwater. Not a lover of chemicals. I always remember one of my college lecturers saying that plants perform best when you can recreate their natural environment, although that kinda goes out of the window when you have hybrids from different parts of the world !

Think I'd better shut up...😬

I'll have a nosey at some of your threads, wouldn't mind checking out the motor, too...😉

The feeling of getting seeds come in the post 😁😍
