Hey guys,

I'm relatively new to growing (about 2 years now), and have only had experience with coco grows. One side of my 8x4 tent has a 1000 HPS and the other side has two LED lights, one Mars Hydro TW 4000 and a Spider Farmer SF 2000. I run a dehumidifier, AC and incline 6" fan through the cool tubes. Temps are steady daytime at 77-79°F and 67-69°F nights, and humidity never gets above 55%.

Over the last few grows I've noticed my buds are foxtailing. I thought maybe it was mostly genetic at first but it's happening more and more now I feel it's something I'm doing to it, as I feel my first 12-18 months had much better nugs and I was getting TONS of compliments on just about any strain I'd grow, now Im almost embarrassed at what Im producing.

I'll attach a few pics and if someone is curious about anything to do with my setup/feeding just ask, as I quite literally don't know where to start lol. I rarely ask for help with anything so this is new to me... haha. Thanks in advance guys!

* First pics are of the Bubba Pebbles (under HPS) which are foxtailing the most.
Last pic is the GG#4 (under LED) which seems to be fine.

Last harvest the Bubba Kush foxtailed under the LED (I assumed the HPS was too hot and was the cause). I've also dialed the wattage down to 750 and it didn't seem to do anything. Shitty spectrum with the Vivosun bulbs..another thing I've considered but they were great at the beginning and I've replaced the bulb this year.

Joe

Hey, foxtailing can be from your light too close or on too high intensity, it can also be genetics. Pinch the top off one and watch what it does, It should stop elongating and fatten it up.

Ok I'll give that a try thank you.

Yeah that's where these seem to be heading. A little hard to make out their structure this early but I'm definitely seeing signs of it. Ok good to know thanks.

Here's a few pics from a previous harvest, towards the end of flower when it was more pronounced. This was the Bubba Kush from 34th Street Seeds (left) and Purple Kush from Crop Seed King (right)
