Hey all, I have been in the flower stage for about 2 weeks, everything is going well but wondering if I should switch my light to 100%. Currently it’s at 75% and probably about 30-35 inches high. What determines when to switch to 100%?

The protone app for your phone is a great tool to help you understand the plants light intake needs. The app has a daily light calculator and a chart that shows recommended light levels throughout the plant growth cycle. It’s pretty cool!

Yeah crank it to 100% amigo.

Drop light down to around 12-18inches.

What light are you using?

I found it depends on your phone device...and not really that accurate... do you have anything to compare the app to an actual light meter??? Just curious as I have a Z fold 4 and it has 2 selfie cameras... each camera gives off different readings

From my understanding it is pretty accurate with the new iPhones. Not sure about other devices. There is a British guy that goes in depth about it on YouTube

You bring up a good point Jkash. Seems if you’re an ISO user, the readings are more accurate comparing to an android device. In my experience and usage on a iPhone 15, the app seems accurate enough for what I’m trying to accomplish. I definitely accept the fact that the app will not be as accurate as a specialized ppfd device but I also have no need to spend that kind of money on a tool like that.

I have been aiming at week 4 of flower for max strength on my lights and feed but I'm stretching that to week 6 this grow, I enter flower at 60% and bump them up 5% ish per week along with my feed. At week 6 weeks my lights will be at 100% and plants will be receiving their max food - week 8 then I start to back down the light and food.

Nothing I grow goes less than 10 weeks then I start to pull 1 at a time and I let some go 12 weeks. It all depends on how pressed I am to get my vegging plants to go into flower. If I have the time I'll let them ripen in flower

Read your leaves......

My Spiderfarmer light has a manual, it says to go to 100% for flowering and haven't had any light burn with a 12" distance.
