I check a lot of threads cause I just started growing, and I realized that my set up is very ghetto hahaha :) Home Depot boxes with tinfoil glued on it, a 40 dollar LED light from Amazon, 10 dollar fan that can’t rotate. Here it is! Hahaha :)

Anyways, post your set ups that are cheap and ghetto, or your first set ups(nothing over a hundred bucks for an item)

Happy growing to all and everyone :)

if you are doing it cheap, spend most of the money on your light and decent genetics

The first tent and lights I bought each cost more than $100, so I soon learned growing indoors wasn't going to be a cheap hobby. I could've done it for less than what I spent, though. I learned a lot in those first few grows, and much of that learning was done the hard (and often costly) way.

iPower 3x3x5 tent: $70

Sayhon SH1200 light: 60some bucks

Circulation snap-on fan: $13

I also use an air purifier to circulate air and reduce odor that I got a while ago for the lockdown that I think was around $80

My 'cheap' setup

Vivosun 3x3x6 tent $90 (4 years ago)

Maxsisun MG3000 4 bar light $free (used cash back on Amazon, otherwise $330)

Vivosun 4" inline extractor $70

Vivosun carbon filter $60

(4) Hurricane 6" clip on fans $25

Homemade PVC scrog frame $20

Vicks vaporizer/humidifier $60

Total $570

Adding the price of the 2 fifteen-gallon Earthbox SIPs ($60 each) brings my grand total to just under $700.

NOT a cheap hobby. But since I am in an 'other than legal' state it beats the hell out of street prices to buy my herb. I pull about 16 ounces every 90 days and that supplies me and my 2 adult sons. I can even afford to do a little gifting to friends once in a while.

Female Og kush that's two months old, 6 inches tall, with five nodes. $25 temu lights and $20 led runners. Six plants all look like this. They are pretty short and squat but still healthy. It took forever to get them this big. If I can do this with a temu light I can't wait to see what it's like growing with a real grow light. I'm trying so hard to get the money together. I started growing just to see if I could do it for cheap and now I'm hooked. I can't go a week without putting a new seed in the ground. My entire place will be filled up with the lights in a few years lol.
