Yeah I spent a little over 1200$ on a 400 Watt solar kit to provide constant power supply to the grow, but the damn shipment still hasn't arrived, it was sent by sea and I was told by the company that the package had arrived in Havana and was "out for distribution" about a week ago and I still haven't gotten it. So hopefully any day now it will get here and I will be able to provide constant electricity to the grow.

I’m glad it started to straighten out for you.
I’ve had great yields from mars lights.
They are just crazy powerful for the size.

Did you finish the wood at all? Doesnt look like it in the pic, but i was thinkin some food safe mineral oil and let it cure fully. Or maybe just sand the hell out of it to maybe 2000grit.

Small is 3/8" and the larger was 1/2". The monster I made with the 1/2" burned for 2 days before I finished it😁)
I didn't finish it but mineral oil might make it sticky and I noticed the compressed weed does stick to the mold. I think your idea of fine sanding might be better and possibly a coat of poly. I kinda figured this would be my proto, I was really stoned and wasn't very precise. I miss drilled the hole for the skewer but it still works. I'm sure the store bought ones are superior by far but I'm not $40 lighter either.
*the trick is to find the right size dowel for your plunger then drill an appropriate hole in the 'mold' (I found this one in a closet used as a rod.)
A longer drill bit is helpful and of course a drill press.

you nailed it! making this press would be a breeze with one. I'm a full fledged 'tinkerer', a few hits of Haze and my brain starts sparking like a MF. I need one too, great idea!
