My First DWC grow - Master Kush, Shiskaberry, Cookies Kush & Sweet Zenzation

Hey all!!! welcome to my first DWC diary log.

Info:
Strains: Dutch Passion - Master Kush (I am growing 3 other plants in DWC, this is just my diary for Master Kush, check out my other Growdiaries Here)
Nutrients: Advanced Cutting Edge Solutions Line Up + Hydroguard (2ml/gallon)
Light: Veg: 2x 105w LED Flower: Bloom Plus BP3000
Veg Time: around two months

Week 1
Week one proved to be a bit troublesome once the girls were moved into their new home.... I started my journey without a PPM meter yeah , I know... lol
Environment:
Lights On: 75°F / 65% RH
Lights Off: 68°F / 65% RH
PPM: 655 PH: 6
Obviously my PPMs were way to high for the plant at this point in it's life, also i was using test strips to measure ph instead of a pen and that was evidently a mistake.... i obviously eventually did correct this

Week 2
Week 2 was all about trying to find some kind of balance in PPMs... it was rough but I do believe i am at a better place now...
Environment:
Lights On: 75°F / 65% RH
Lights Off: 68°F / 65% RH
PPM: 765 at start of week 412 at end of week PH: 5.8
Obviously my PPMs were STILL way to high for the plant at this point in it's life. The master kush ended up showing lots of deficiencies which i deem to be calcium and nitrogen being the most visible. However, I do believe this is because of the incredibly high PPMs. After dropping my PPMs to 412 within an hour she started gaining that deep green color cannabis is known and admired for.

Some pretty sizable growth this week. Great root growth,
Res was swapped today and remeasured at 650ppm.

Installed a new carbon filter! Didn't think I would need one in my veg tent, but Instead of smelling flower ripening outdoors, I was smelling straight hydro chemicals LOL... so here we are... Kinda glad to have it anyway!

Also I do believe around 75°F will be a great temp for my tent..
Not too cold, not too hot... warm enough to keep the plants growing,
but not too warm to start causing issues in the res.

Pretty happy with how my veg tent is coming along... Was kinda an afterthought until starting DWC, which I am also really enjoying so far! It is quite fascinating to watch the plants grow at such a fast rate & to watch the roots explode so quickly.

Environment:
Lights On: 75°F / 60% RH
Lights Off: 68°F / 60% RH
PPM: 650

So I typically probably wouldn't have made a new post so quickly, at this point. However, I sent a message to Cutting Edge Solutions and asked about their tips for running their line in DWC. They actually undersold me on the two products I was currently using in the line; Mag Amped & Plant Amp, both providing Calcium to the plant, which it seemed my plant was still kind of struggling with..

Basically, he told me it's better to run DWC with the Cal Mag Amplified instead. Thankfully I already had this. (this whole line was gifted to me me by a friend, that's why I'm kind of dedicated to it at this point, lol.)

After switching my res over and cleaning my res yesterday, as well, it seems my plants are ALREADY so much happier! Woo! Shout out to CES for getting back to me pretty quickly and through Instagram at that LOL

Switched the BP3000 to my VEG light and picked up a @PhlizonGrowLight FD6000 for my Flower Tent

alright ya'll i gotta be real, i can't even keep this diary to just MK anymore...

I moved the plants into my 4x4 to finish out Veg...
Scrogging seemed like the best idea...
Left to right Top to bottom is

Sweet seeds - sweet zenzation (so far, a keeper. very smooth grow during veg)
dutch passion - master kush (not a keeper, very finnicky , hard to gauge feeding... maybe another pheno)
Barney's farm - cookies kush (may keep)
barney's farm - shiskaberry ( i have my run.,. i think she's done after this pheno)

currently getting 55%rh at around and just under 80degrees

Also picked up two new cuts

Wedding Pie - Cannarado Genetics (believed to be breeder cut)
Wedding Cake x Grape Pie

&

Ocean Fruit by Square One Genetics
Brisker OG (Tahoe OG x Peanut Butter Breath) x Purple Punch
100% took two cuts off of this one & leveled it out to the wedding pie.

Excited to get some good genetics in my next run

I've been wanting to try DWC for a little while now.......still gathering the necessary equipment........( it might be a while longer )....

It looks like you're doing pretty damn good for the first time at DWC.....

For now, instead of DWC, for shits an giggles, I'm trying the Kraty Method of Hydro......just started the other day.....

I think I'm hesitant on DWC because of room restrictions......not alot of space for a big setup.....

Brisker O.G......that sounds tempting.....

It was a lot to learn and absorb, but once you figure it out and dial it in its really easy from there (so far at least, I can't speak for flower)

krafty sounds unique , i'm interested in seeing how you do with that!
