Perfect example. πŸ‘€
Yeah man it hit close to home and I see it a lot. I personally wanted to crank mine to 100% and keep it there and keep it close because more is better!! Yeah, not the case lol πŸ˜‚ I mean you can, you just have to be prepared to feed heavy and have the environment down to a T. But regardless, DLI is DLI and should be kept within parameters. Sometimes those APPs can be misleading and I trust my instinct over an algorithmic app.

I would suggest to the OP, like you said, please do not flush your plants. Your stripping the food from your soil and will only cause you thr need to feed more sooner.

But, please if you could let us know the light you’re using, distance, and intensity currently.

Thanks, the light isn’t some amazing one as it’s my first grow. It’s an omega black/generic led. It’s reduced to 200w at the moment with a max of 720. Current dli is about 28, distance is at about a meter.

Hmmmm almost a meter away eh? Then I’m inclined to think it’s a lack of nutrients then and not a lighting issue. Are you supplementing with Calmag or how are you introducing it?

I’m using cal mag in every feed of around 0.25 to 0.5 per litre. I have 4 though and it’s only this one that’s showing issues. Also the only one I flushed πŸ‘€πŸ˜¬. I’ve fed them today and gave this one some increased nutes.

Just curious what your humidity is at?

Hey @Swanst1991, can you clarify your cal mag amts? 0.25-0.5 but what units?

humidity runs between 55 and 65 % and cal mag 0.25ml-0.5ml per litre.

Please see a photo of all 4 plants, 1 month seedling and 1 month veg. Should i defoliate under the net?

In the lower left of the photo, I can see what appears to be the clawed leaf tips of nitrogen toxicity. This plant and the one at top left look darker green than the two on the right. I also see some scattered leaf spotting at bottom left that I think looks like calcium deficiency, but could also be from other imbalances.

Not sure why you’ve got yellowing at bottom right.

Same dude, I’ve got biobizz nutes and follow their advice, starting with quarter strength nutes about a month ago. I ph water and run off and ec run off but they still aren’t perfect. First grow though so I either get it right or learn. Thanks for the advice re nitrogen, I’ll look to reduce bio grow for that plant.

Should I flush the bottom left to rid the nitrogen? Some say flushing is bad?

Hate that word!!! Growing 4 different phenos or strains sometimes require specific feedings for each. If you’re feeding all of these the same watering and feeding schedule and these aren’t clones then you can run into issues.

I’m running the same strain but 4 diff phenos. I’m also not feeding individually because I have a bad back and don’t have the time to set it up.

One plant is requiring more calmag than the others. Thus Calmag also has some nitrogen in there. When I’ve increased my feedings, this in turn started causing more nitrogen then what was needed in my other 3 and started to see the claw.

You have to weigh your options and either just go with it, or feed individually based off how your plants are telling you and adjust based off of that.

But I highly suggest DO NOT FLUSH! If you’re seeing clawing, decrease nitrogen in your feedings progressively until it subsides.

thank you! ill dial back the nitrogen on the two on the left and see how i get on.

Interesting thread, has me rethinking about my lighting now. I'd usually push it to 950-1000 in flower and that's when my problems come. Maybe 750-800??

I'm playing around with my new nutes and have been feeding my babies at half dose. They are so hungry, they are almost glowing. Next feed going to full dose. I'm in same boat as this guy. It's okay more nute will fix. View attachment 2092189
Perhaps it’s. The lights so bright, they are almost glowing.

Naw I increased light, increased feed and they are looking much better.
