So yesterday I transplanted my 16 Cali-connect babies, all of them are on par together, except for 2 SFV that look like runts (half as big as their siblings), and they were in the same cup....

As I transplanted everything, I just dumped the cup upside down into my fingers to release the plants, then I would split the dirt in half between them and put each one into its own 1 gallon pot, Well, When I turned over the 2 Runt SFV's, I saw something I'd never seen before....

The tap roots went all the way to the bottom of the cup, but then they turned and did a spiral around themselves cutting off any new direction til the growing tip was locked into the center, both spirals were a little smaller than a dime....I'm pretty sure if I hadn't caught it they would've been severely handicapped or even worse.

I wish I had taken a picture, but I didn't, I will try and draw something up real quick, strangest thing I've seen in a while, anyone else ever seen this?

Here's my best illustration, to try and explain it...

HI, weird, are you gonna keep em, sometimes runts produce some kick ass smoke, depends if you can put up with it(looking deformed). mack.

i dunno bro, just leave em,never heard of that, except for like a rootbound, but may be the 2 in each cup caused them to spiral around each other?

I wouldnt trip they are probably just a little shocked from the transplant. Did you pull them apart? Are you giving them any ferts?

why would you plant 2 in one cup, that does not make sense, and roots spiral always when they hit the bottom of a hard plastic cup, can look weird especially if left in the cup too long, you should transplant them into separate containers and not loose hope, did you plant them all 2 per cup?

how those babies doin Fox? I am sure they are fine by now, hit me up bro
