I finally got my 450 watt light. What a looney I am. This thing is huge. Anyways my question. I was told onthis forum to keep my light 30" above the plant and at low wattage. It's an auto don't know if that matters. Then I see threads say keep your light closer. Like less than 20". So which do you think is right? Not that I don't trust the info. It's just confusing
Thanks for all your support!

Pick of plant. Like 15 days since germination. I'm so screwed it looks like. If anything it's got to be my pot retaining to much water. It runs out of the pot well. Just don't see how your soil dries up indoors Outside is a different story. Frustrated
How do you get soil to dry out. I let my watered pot put 1 or 2 days before planting. I haven't needed to water yet
WTF!

What size pot is that... I use 20% water of bucket size... easy math... 5 gallon bucket I water with 1 gallon of water...also learn by picking up pot... feel thendifferent weights between just watered to feeling light and dry... wanna shoot to water roughly everyn3 days roughly... as for seeting up your light... seedlings do not need much light... i actually use a 5 dollar led light for seedlings for a couple of weeks

Fans and fans and more fans.

Soil is Happy Frog. I added alot of perlite. Also added compost, bat guano, seabird guano and a little bit of Dr. Earth grow (should have used bloom booster). Seems like Happy Frog is maybe to dense and thus retains more water. This sux. So sad 😞

It's not the end of the world. Plant looks fine for most part... if anything either lower light settings or raise light... just a little to light green... but not far off

My ghetto grow room until I can get a tent setup. With the damn light I hope I can talk my wife into a 4x4.

Voltage said it........

Airflow......at least one fan to move the air and make the plant slow dance.....

You shouldn't need water/ feed for 3-5 days....

The dryback is very necessary/ crucial for a healthy plant....

There are a lot of ways to grow. Here's how I run my lights. Assuming the light is sized correctly for the space, I hang it as high as I can and try to give the plants what they ask for. Leaves flat, level, and green = happy with the light level. Leaves showing edge curl, taco-ing, canoe-ing, twisting, or any color other than green = too much light. Leaves praying an hour before lights-out = can handle more light.

Hey man, just give her time, you’re in a big pot, she’s a little girl, soon she will be so big that she’ll drink up all the water and you’ll be watering ur ass off, not yet though. If it takes her a week or so to dry out and drink her water then that’s ok, don’t rush the process brother , you’re only just starting.

Okay I got this. First thing you need to do now that you have this bathroom space is to start taking her space for getting ready and all that stuff. More plants, stuff for plants, she will eventually kick you out of your own space and allow you to have your own .

I'm not a cannabis cultivator, I'm a water delivery man

IMHO, light heights and intensity adjustments are pure guesswork especially for newer or less experienced growers. Only by measuring the photons raining down on your plants can one hope to adequately control what is perhaps the most important input your crop receives. Quantum sensors which accurately measure PPFD, PAR, DLI are great for those who can afford them but as for myself and many others, a free app is available to get pretty close to optimal lighting adjustment. To get it, download the Photone app. iOS requires 5 or 6 dollars to unlock the full spectrum LED feature. Android is already unlocked. Once calibrated to a specific light, it will measure the output of that light in PPFD (PAR), DLI, Lux, FC, etc. Finally, search YouTube for Bruce Bugbee grow lighting myths for a comprehensive explanation on the subject. I would recommend getting familiar with DLI as it will be more helpful to know how much light the plants receive per day rather than per second.

That's pure genius. After seeing that I realize I stole my wife's space... Unintentionally. But I now Hava a whole basement to.myself. Perfect advice!!! And when she left the "space" a 5x5 arrived a few days later. πŸ’• πŸͺ΄ 🌿

Use a PAR light meter and set the height accordingly. That's what matters just moving the light up and down meens nothing it's all about the amount of light reaching the gals.spectrum also and stage of growth matters to,don't know your situation .good luck.
