Happy growing = happy life.

That's a fact. Hope yours is going well too. ☺️

Well, my experiment growing reg. seeds, (found, not valuable) is a dud. I wanted to see when preflowers and 'balls' showed up and how to identify the differences.
I found seeds in my flowers (Black Sugar from Seedsman) when dry sifted for hash. So I germinated them and put them under lights 18/6 and transplanted into gallon plastic containers, they are 2 months old and showing preflowers.

Still waiting for the boys, but I don't think I have any. 7 out of 7 girls. Go figure.
She must have pollinated herself, right?
Anyway, I now know what to look for (pistils) and am much more confident about trying regular seeds in the Spring.

Now, what to do with the girls. I put them on the porch, but it's 50 degrees out there and the weather lady said no more sun for the next couple of weeks. And I know the days are short, so they will want to flower. hmmmmmm

Buy a cheap indoor rig you could veg all of those under a 100 watt led easy….

Saw a recent vid (think it was Dude Grow SHow) on the diffrent perlite granular sizes.. that the shit sold at Home Depot is just shit and not to ever use that.. what size do you guys use if any?
I’m a simple dude, I use a soil that has it premixed in. Though when I do use it, never really considered sizes…..

I thought it was going to be a joke video based on the thumbnail. Youtube's going balls out with that shit these days
When I originally watched this video there was no thumbnail and a little bit of info about dude doing the work. Totally agree .
If anyone is interested that red stuff is boiled onion husks.

Someone was asking on that show if it breaks down and the answer was not really, that the stuff you buy at Home Depot is just the cheapest stuff around and 25% of it is already dust to begin with. They suggested getting the larger sizes of the perlite.

Definitely good to know regardless right?

You can walk up to it, and take a plum or a peach, or an apricot... it blooms in succession. Diferent parts flower at different times, and different color flowers.

There are like 20 of them across the country, but nurseries sell smaller "fruit salad trees" with less diversity.
Okay, it's sound great in theory, but if you've grown fruit trees you know that you have to be spraying shit on them constantly in order to get eatable anything. I've planted, grown, and cut down: apple, cherry, pear, and english walnut trees. Tried organic with terrible results.
The bugs and disease get most everything unless you spray religiously.
Now complicate that with 6 different fruits and upkeep may be a nightmare.
Don't want to discourage, Just sayin.

BTW, I was one of those whose bought a tulip tree poplar (from the back of the magazine) that is supposed to grow 20 feet a year. Well, it grew, no faster than any other tree.
Then we had a wind storm and it's the only one to break off halfway up. Lesson learned.😒

No that you mentioned that, last bag I got was really damned dusty…..
Most bags are good, I mean Happy Frog is good for example imo, but the Ocean Forest is not as airy, so I add a gallon of pumice rock to the bag for better drainage, aeration, yada yada.. and some folks mix their own soil and add their own perlite in, was just wondering what sayeth the Trainwreck crew. Some bags are as light as sugar though .. especially bags from Humboldt. I've never tried the popular Pro-Mix stuff though.

Yeah, the stuff I use has a good ratio.
I don’t use ff anymore. Switched 4-5 years ago. Fertilome ultimate potting mix is what I’m in.

Last year I switched from perlite that wasn't numbered to perlite #4.....

More oxygen, faster dry backs.....

Once I switched, the difference was very noticeable.......
