Definitely, when Texas froze a few years ago, and the grid went down, my plants didnt show cold stress through the entire crop until it hit mid 40s….That sounds splendid. I literally have to act as an exhaust fan opening and closing the window so my temps don’t go below 70 during the day or over 77. I’m usually scared to let it drop below 67-68 during the dark cycle. But anything in the 60s at night is okay or no?
She’s keeping it sexy that’s for sureis that theog plant looks mean.

So, after that fiasco did you get a generator, or solar panels?Definitely, when Texas froze a few years ago, and the grid went down, my plants didnt show cold stress through the entire crop until it hit mid 40s….
I have 2 generators. One for the house, and another with 4000 watt capacity for my grow rooms. Heavy load wiring pre ran. I have 2 portable power stations. One in each room. When the power goes out, the lighting gets throttled all the way down, and I put each room on a box while I go and take care of the house. Nice way to not have to rush around until I get one up and going. Just have to swap one plug a couple times and g2gSo, after that fiasco did you get a generator, or solar panels?
Good to have backup and wired so you don't have to stumble around in the dark. Just make sure you have the fuel to keep'em running.I have 2 generators. That’s what I call smart. Beautiful setup!Good to have backup and wired so you don't have to stumble around in the dark. Just make sure you have the fuel to keep'em running.
Hubby always wanted to set up solar panels.... and he did! But being in Michigan you have to track the sun, so we are.
And we have a bank of deep discharge batteries. About a hundred pounds a piece. Hate changing those things out.
Here's hubby maximizing our 'return on investment'. LOL

I keep them on a low N diet all throughout flower. Basically a baseline to keep the stalks and leaves happy while I feed bloom nutes. Or I just use worm castings a couple of times. I’m lazy though. So yep. I sure do.Do you use nutrients to stiffen the stems ?

It helps, but too much and you get into brittle stalk territory. Which isn’t good at all. Clawing leaves, slowing transpiration. So it’s a finess thing in flower. Easy to do too much. Not all strains or phenos want it either. I will judge if it’s needed by the how well the stalks are holding their weight, floppy or limp. I’ll adjust accordingly. Is nitrogen most responsible for a stiffer stem?
Ever used a silica product capn in hydro that stuff stiffens the stem up pretty well shit stuff to use though clouds up ya nutes if not mixed correctlyIt helps, but too much and you get into brittle stalk territory.
