excellent tips, thx Rama! I'll save this intel
I like to try different grow techniques and haven't ever used a string trellis for tomatoes, I think I'll try your style out.
I grew 1 Sweet 100 last year that spilled over the top, by Fall I was climbing a ladder to make a salad! 😆
On second thought, you may not want to try single stems because from the looks of how that plant grew, I'm guessing you don't get full sun? A single stem would go nuts without 8 ore more hours of sun..

nah brah! 🤣 there's a whole world out there of tomato flavors! I grew a yellow pear variety last year that had almost a lemony? flavor to it.
Some of the old heirloom varieties are amazing.

There’s a cemetery in Philly that had a garden co op, used to go and get the best heirlooms on earth imo. Wonder why the fruits were so good 🤷‍♂️👊🏻🤡

Once you grow cherokees you'll grow them every year ;) Yeah those are cherries but I grow cherokee the same, even though they are fatties. I just don't have a photo. They are an indeterminate variety, as are cherry tomatoes. Determinate tomatoes need to be grown more like bushes. Determinates set all the fruit within a short window of time, relatively. Indeterminate varieties will keep pumping at 100% until the cold gets them.
I haven't grown a determinant in ages, are there any advantages of those strains? maybe better looking but less fruit?
My pops always grew them, I still remember him driving a 4' stake when he dropped them in the ground and that was it for the year. Being the frugal Yankee he used to tie them up with strips of old tee shirts.
I grow the opposite, gimme an Indeterminate and concrete wire hoops. I tie all the branches horizontally in a circle.

Brings back memories of my massive vegetable garden. I double dug, mounded rows, used 'wall-o-waters' to start tomatoes early and tried every color available in tomatoes and peppers. Was a blast and a pain in the ass both at the same time. LOL

Kids got old and left and I developed allergies. Couldn't go outside without my nose running away with me.
If I ever become allergic to weed I'm going to find a doc who'll give shots for that. LOL

I did the 'french intensive' double dig for a couple years, it was a lot of work! I never tried those wall o waters, did you ever cook your plants with them?

Hot Hot Hot or medium? I've never made my own but should as much as I drink it!
Everything is medium+ to maybe 2x Hot. I have a high tolerance. But, nothing is stupid hot. We did reds, oranges, reds with chocolates and some red and orange mixed batches. Super hots make up anywhere between 10-100% of the batches. But, the pure supers get up to a 6 month ferment which really mellows out the heat a lot.
