Kratky Method of Hydroponics.........

Get a container, get another smaller container, fill smaller container with hydrodon clay pellets/pebbles, insert clone/seedling/seed ( ? ), add veg nutes to the large container, insert smaller container with plant in the larger container, add nutes as needed.....

Simple so far!

If this experiment fails, I've learned more from this than I can explain!!

If you're reading this post/ thread, I have to tell you to go get hydrodon/ clay pebbles!!!

If you've been watching this thread, this is the easiest, cheapest, quickest way to go......

Granted, we're still in the experimental phase.....

This is what I've come up with so far.....

Set it and forget it!

The nutes - I'm saving a FUCK TON of money.....less nutes than feeding when the dryback occurs!

I had, and still have, to some degree, doubts on whether I can get it to harvest....reasonably speaking and thinking of course....

I'm window silling more clones to get more Kratkys going.......

There is no extra power for a pump!

There are no airstones!

There is nothing to do except,

Set it and kinda forget it......!

I'm not sure why this ( Kratky ) method hasn't been introduced to the cannabis community???????????????

Was it the fear of the unknown????

Was is it due to possible failure????

Yes.....this experiment is still ongoing!

Why, you ask, would I just drop everything and get a Kratky Method of Hydroponics going?

The ease of it.....

I do not have fancy gadgets! sure I wish I did.....

I've yet to check ph!
I've yet to check ppfd!
I've only mixed my normal nute ratio and used that!

My atmosphere blows!

The root growth vs. cost and everything else I've come to terms with.....

you can start many ways - for many years Ive started them in solo cups/coco, then filled a gallon pail 5.9 pH- rinsed roots clean and dropped them in my net cups with hydroton feeding the longest root thru the net cup, they go right into their dwc 5 gal reservoirs. (pics were started in coco)

To my knowledge, little as is, any medium can be used as a starter medium, then transplanted into the hydrodon/ clay pebbles.....

I've never attempted any way other than the windowsilled cloning method.......they had the classic window root look.....

I'm in over my head with space at the moment, but I will be doing alot more trials with the Kratky Method........

Again......this experiment is only 23 days into its wealth of information......

My error it wasn't rooted sooner.......my water level was not set, nor maintained correctly....

I have not checked, nor can I check the areas today......I should have......

Smaller containers = more feed/water ings.......

Tester area I'm sure is hurting......it's the worst atmosphere of the three.....
