Old wives tale. Chop whenever, at night the plants release most of what they pull out of the medium back into the soil at night. Lights on the plant is packed with the good shit that has been forming your flavor profile from the jump. just my opinion and thoughts. You do you homie! Can’t wait to see the buds!

Well usually I run it until the 8th node then top it then I strip all main fan leaves except the top two. ( This creates shade for the lower branches allowing them to spread out on there own). Then I take the 8th node off after lower branches spread out.

This time I topped it at the 4yh node and I am taking 4 branches off vertically and will be using the offshoots from those 4 branches as main bud sites.

This new method is more then doubling my veg time.

I’ve heard the reason behind harvesting first thing in the morning has a few reasons behind it, one is that larger farms or grows require more time to complete the harvest, starting early keeps the need for working after sunset to a minimum, obviously not an issue indoors. The second reason had something to do with the trichomes were at their peak in the predawn hours and the more exposure to sunlight, the more chance of over ambering the trichomes. Also it’s the start of the day when the photosynthesis process begins and when most growers feed, so you cut down before any more water is absorbed and chlorophyll is created. But these are subject to the bro science vs real science until the studies are done to prove, I think most of it is theory and preference.

I am going to concur with this assessment.
A lot of it is preferred methodology that makes sense to the ridiculous grower in question.
My thinking is, day night, whatever benefits may be gleaned from these methods have to be so minimal in terms of it really having any bearing on the final product.
But I’m from a time where it was redundancy and finesse over time that molded my preference. Nowadays the tools gadgets and assists in the game, seem kinda pointless for someone who quite literally never needed any of that stuff before. Though I do try to brush up on my studies so I can at least throw my educated 2 cents in with out putting both feet in my mouth……

Captain I’m not being contrary to you, just regurgitating information stuck in my head. Had a fatty stashed away in my truck, went to lunch and waiting on some chicken wings over near ruggsville 🤣 wish I knew what I just smoked, cause I want some more 🔥🔔🤤
