I water at lights on, but only to maintain consistency for myself

I am not getting up at 4 am. I go to sleep at like 2am. Last grow I was doing in the evening before lights out. I try to time the lights with my work schedule which gives me a limited window. About a hour on both night and day. I have been at 10am ish this entire grow.

On the veg tent, light schedule is traditional, so those get watered when I wake up. Guess it's only the flower tent that is right at lights on, so I guess I dont keep a set routine during a grow...

Only things I would say is in a controlled environment watering near or during the dark hours can be dangerous or counterproductive, humidity levels can spike and with a lack of light mold can flourish. Also the plant doesn’t photo synthesize without light, so it won’t get the best conditions for nutrient uptake. Nature is anything but a controlled environment. If you are trying to dial in the best possible conditions for your grow then focus more on early morning rather than late afternoon, aka lights on vs off.

I water every fourth day like clockwork. As far as the hour I do it. Never really thought about it. I am mean to my plants, I’ll do shit when I’m good and Gatdamned ready but I’m swift and brutal to my plants. But as far as an inconsistency in the time of the day it’s given, im not buying ending up with a sick plant from it. Only bug thing is, like stated earlier, close to lights out ain’t a great idea, especially if your ventilation ain’t great and has low cfm.
But otherwise. 9 am or 4pm isn’t going to make anything more healthy. That’s up to you as the grower to remain vigilant, have a schedule. And keep feed on point. Seeing and correcting issues. But seriously, stuff like this kinda makes me annoyed. Not that you posted it or anything, that you happened across it and are considering it. It’s misleading for folks who don’t have many runs under their belt, sure plants are in tune to us as much as we try to be with them, but I guarantee this, I ain’t never met a cannabis plant with a wrist watch. But for me, nah, never even crossed my mind homie.
