She was cursed from the start, back in the day I heard about the wonders of coco choir and how it was like hydroponics but a kinda closer to growing with soil, what I didn’t hear about until a few years later was that coco choir has to be washed and buffered, or else you’ll have potassium deficiency, caused not by an actual lack of potassium, but by a calcium and magnesium deficiency that causes a lock out or some sort of cad ion exchange blah blah blah. So she was hurting from the start. That was what pushed me away from bottle nutrients and towards organic soil. But ultimately it was my fault for not being well enough educated on the subject and skipping school.

I heard of coco sucking up calcium and magnesium if it's not buffered, but thought it created excess potassium as it decomposes? Like the bloom nutrients I'll be using has less potassium than the non coco version.

Honestly the growth is faster than I thought it would be. But it's gonna take a ton of nutrients by harvest time since you never use plain water and they're always thirsty. They're taking over a gallon each every day with very little runoff. Been kind of neglecting that 10-20%.

They seem ok. Haven't had any yellow leaves or major health problems. But they're spewing out all that moisture like crazy. I'm hoping that calms down when they stop vegging.

I'm using 12 year old Eco Earth bricks sold for reptiles. lol

It's working but is a total bitch to get hydrated. If the water's not boiling they stay solid. Even then you have to really break it up by hand.

Oh I never use schwag gear for anything I do growing. That’s for skallywags and yip yaps.
If I can afford it but yeah, the stretch on some of these is nutty. Regardless I do like the idea of rolling side by side. Though I’ll get my ass kicked.

You could be right, I can wholeheartedly admit that I have to fact check myself half the time when it comes to complex and technical stuff. Sometimes my information gets scrambled in the thought locker, and thc cobwebs are everywhere up there.

Look the runoff thing is subjective if ya keep your ec lower you really don’t need to be running nutes down the drain every feed especially in veg I barely go over 1.6ec mid flower n I only get runoff maybe every third day I’m gunna get some hate for that from the coco heads but it works for me man
