There something been on my mind. I watch all threads that say first grow first time first anything. I've learned two things. I'm jealous others do better first time. Also some of these fools are straight up lying about there first grow. I just read a first time thread. His shit was more detailed than @Schwifty growers thread. Knew how when to top. Feeding was already figured out. Get the fuck out of here. I couldn't go through with that act. Smh

Some people have the luxury of learning through other people’s mistakes, some people have deep pockets, some people are naturally gifted, some people lie, and some tell the truth. It’s definitely an information based society in a way. Tons of forums, videos and literature on the subject, add that to someone who doesn’t have money issues and they can practically buy their way into a nice first grow. But that’s not us though. It’s more rewarding to overcome obstacles than to just breeze through.

He’s most likely just using a tried and true method, has help and isn’t saying, has a strong set of fundamentals with other plants. or is bullshitting. But man, jealousy?
I like ya man, but that’s the wrong eyes to be looking through this lens with.
Try to learn as much as you can from everyone. There is not set of rules that applies across the board with cannabis. It’s always different. that way you’re not feeling bad and degrading yourself.
You have plenty of good folks on this thread at least who have no problem helping the new folks. I’m not trying to be a dick here either, just read this in the context of a happy clown, giving out happy constructive feedback.

To be honest, I put ice in mine once every 3 months maybe. I hate an overfill bong I don’t want to get up to change……

From a person who has done 99% of their smoking out of a 2 foot bong for the last 3 or 4 years I forgot but yea anyways cold water is ok the key with a beaker is to tip it as far as you reasonably can. Ice I did for a long time and I quit, for me personally water from the tap warm, cold whatever is ideal.

The one I haven't cleaned in 2 days anyways the powerade bottle is a 28 fl oz or 1.75 pt for the metric people, it is just for size reference.

I didn't buy anything before doing all kinds of research, watching youtube vids for hours, and ultimately coming here. Asked for advice. I browse reddit sometimes and tons of people just plop a couple bucks on the first aliexpress light they see and start growing in unsuitable medium without doing any research, then ask why their plant looks like Charlie Brown's christmas tree.

If someone does their homework they can have good luck the first time. There's still a lot to learn along the way that you have to get your hands on to really figure out.

The research part can be frustrating. So many people have different takes on how to do things, and it's hard to figure out which way to go if you don't have much experience. I sort of narrowed down the most common methods across the board and tried to weed out the bro science. Reddit's good for supplying that.
