First outdoor plant, transplant shock gone too far?

Wanted to just see if I could get 1 outdoor plant going, started indoor about a month and a half ago, and I know i’m late to the outdoor season, but I put this plant out yesterday at around 3pm and it looked well when I checked it at night. Not sure if this is a transplant shock or what, but is this even recoverable? I picked days where it’s cooler, not raining but cloudy because I though that would be the best time.

I had only a few minutes to check on it today so I gave it a gallon. Hopefully when I get home it’ll be happy.

I have one or two do that some years. I'm in Ohio so believe it's from planting them before the ground gets warmed up. I just mist them daily and a light foliar feed every few days and they bounce back. I've never lost one. Just give her some time

It looks much better now, I’m in northern Ohio myself so could be that. I just gave it a good watering and it looked better

You’re supposed to ease them into the outdoors from inside, it’s called hardening them off. I usually put in full shade for a day or two, then an hour of sun for a day or two. It’ll probably be fine and bounce back in a day or two.

I gave it two days outside before planting it, I think the first water I gave it after transplant must not have reached the roots. After a good water, it’s been healthy since

It looks much better now, I’m in northern Ohio myself so could be that. I just gave it a good watering and it looked better
