Hello. Edi here. Welcome in Piña Colada episodes growing soap opera
I do like to take photos of every stage of cannabis plant growing. Not a newcomer in grow but first time I will be growing with LED, also first time I will FIMing and then super cropping instead of topping and mainlining as usual. I will gladly take advice doing so.
I said Au revoir to HPS set up with my last grow (minute of silence) and decided to go for LED adventure. Thought I might document it :P
After all we do learn more from mistakes, not necessarily our own ones :P and we can laugh together.
I enjoy watching cannabis growing! Growing weed is very addictive for passionate gardeners!
Strain: Pineapple Express. Seeds are from Barney's Farm- photo, feminized.
Have time and I am not in the hurry so I will enjoy this grow learning as much as I can :D
6-8 weeks in veg minimum- 3X3 and then flower in 5X5. I plan to drop some autos in a smaller tent later. Fingers crossed :D
Set up for veg tent: HOMEbox Ambient Q100 3X3 with HLG 100 4000K on timer, heat mat- Mars Hydro with thermostat, extract 4” – AC Infinity Cloudline pro S4, passive intake, one circulating fan at the bottom- AC Infinity Cloudray S6 - both on controller 69, humidifier - AC Infinity Cloudforge T3
Two first weeks in a pill
Seeds were soaked 24h in solution of cold extracted seaweed. Transferred to wet paper towel and zip lock bag next day. Open zip lock went between ceramic plates. Plates landed on top of cardboard on top of heat mat with thermostat set to 25-26 inside the press. They produced 1,5 cm roots in 12 h.
I packed sprouted seeds into propagator plugs (half Plagron seeding and cutting mix/half perlite/plugs soaked 1h before in seaweed, fungus & bacteria delicious brew
) and drop them under the dome, put the girls back on the heat mat in the press and started to assemble vegetation tent.
In less than 24h they sprouted up like crazy :D not that I complain, they just legged so fast I wasn't able to put them under lights fast enough.
Covered dome landed under 100W LED (so far around 80cm above seedlings) with loads of humidity inside until ladies dropped their seeds and were ready to tango.
4th day dome is off, legs are getting darker and stronger on them.
6th day- girls are transferred from plugs into pre-soaked in brew and seaweed baby pots. Lights are lowered to 65 cm.
They enjoying company of raising like crazy sunflowers
I enjoyed sunflowers in the tent. They were keeping humidity up nicely and very tough seedlings- very springy.
day 8
day 9
12th day- I prepared 1 galon early veg pots (Biobizz light mix 75%/perlite 25%) and warmed them up in the tent for the night, I gave plants sip of baby rocket fuel as they looked hungry poor darlings and I could see the roots so they should handle mild nutes now.
day 12
Had some f&*k%p with PH as I didn't run the solution before I gave it to the babies and next day I did run it just for fun and it was 8 (wtf?
).
Used PH Perfect range and bottled water.
In rerun I am switching to my tap one (dechloramined and dechlorified by Neutralise) and with PH- in and I will be running before/after and run off at the end :P fool me once....
One of the seedlings reacted to the PH mess already by discoloration but it will recover.
I'm prepared to discard two of them in the process anyway to be honest ;) I know life lol
The sluggish and anemic one after PH bubu

Moment later the humidifier crapped itself bringing my tent to 90% and shutting down all ventilation on the controller. Loads of cleaning, reorganizing, and venting full on. I have a bit of OCD which is very handy in grow :P
Seedlings and prepared pots were on a tray so they did not drink from the puddle of water but I have noticed the fussy one that reacted badly on PH mess up is even worse after humidity mess up. Oh well.
day 14
Pots with 6 (for now) graces were soaked in mushroom, bacteria and seaweed brew for 12 hours at night (250ml per one lady) and fed 12 hours later from the top with baby rocket fuel (also 250ml on the edges). Lights lowered to 60cm
so ;)
week one: 18/6 light schedule/temp by day 23C tent/25.5C root area/ temp by night 19C tent/21C root area, humidity kept at around 75-80%, VPD in range 0,5-0,7/no nutrients except brew and seaweed
week two: 18/6 light schedule/temp by day 24C tent/24C root area/ temp by night 20C tent/21C root area, humidity kept at around 65-70%, VPD in range 0,7-0,9/nutes last 3 days in baby proportions
plus one day of Humid Armageddon but they stand strong
Will give them a moment to recover (reach to my pocket to solve environmental issues- I need a humidifier as there will be infrared/convection heater in play in the grow area instead of heating mat) and I think it's time to start vegetation properly!
Greetings fellow growers
