Had a heat spike and my green house hit 140. Again. While open.

Anyone have a recommendation for a solar powered fan/cooling system? I don’t wanna run an extension cord out there.

Just run the cord out there and use electrical tape on the connected points ?

Might come down to that. I had seen a lot of solar fans on bezo.com and was curious if anyone tried one

Got one of these being delivered on sunday. Fuck around and find out.

Looks like a good idea. Are the fans waterproof for when it rains?
I believe so yes. I don’t think I’m going to mount it, as I would have to cut polycarbonate and do measurements which I’m terrible at. I’ll probably set it up inside facing the door to move hot air out. We’ll see

You could make any fan solar power. Get a couple 12V deep cycle batteries, a solar panel battery charger kit with correct amperage, 12V to 110v power inverter, and a 110v fan of your choice. Just make sure the inverter you purchase is rated higher then the fan you want to use.

If it moves air it should help, question is how effective it will be but that is not down to the power source. It's just electricity and how it's made is not important.
