Good morning everyone, I just finished growing some critical 2.0.auto that I planted on saint pattys day , very very small batch she flowered 14 days in to veg, clipped /harvested her 4 days ago, and this morning she passed the grinder test , badly trimmed cause she was covered in trichomes , I'm not selling it so who cares , 😳

I hung it on its branch for 24 -36 hours then alternated her in a wine cooler and ac set at 73 in my office , keeping humidity between. 50 and 70 percent . After a day I then later then popped the nugs off the branch , when she would get near 70 % in the cooler I pulled the nugs out of the cooler open it up and left containers open until it stayed near the ambient room with a RH at 50 % . Did this back and forth 2 days and viola could be slightly drier but nothing stuck to the grinder , but for the most part she grinded fine and about to smoke her !🤪
Added some damp rid to the wine cooler not the whole bag of it to get to 60% rh I just monitor it on my phone and open close it periodically between 50 and 65% back and forth closer and Closer but have been sampling buds 😋😋😋

Hang drying the plant whole is easiest and with such a slow dry it also cures as it sets. Takes 10-16 days depending on plant size and if you can keep your area within range you can keep them drying 60/60 indefinitely until you trim and jar. Try this next time and the smoke will be even better smoother and light better.
True story. If you can create these conditions in a spare bedroom, large closet, garage, etc you can hang those plants for months. I did it but I'm no longer allowed as it "made the house smell" so I'm back in the garage or chicken coop (currently no chickens).

Yes agreed I luckily have a room " office / tv computer game room " , has a separate a/c unit from rest of house . Previous owner built it as an addition , he played the French horn like a recording studio.

Where I am at 60 degrees is the low one month out of the year hard to achieve without a refrigerator 😭😭

hello again my wonderful friends, i am in a difficult situation with the property I am growing in.
I basically need to give the property back to the landlord on the 10th of July and currently I am in the last week of flower.
So the 23rd of June will be my 56th day of flowering which is the final day where I want to chop and hang them to dry.
Then I want a 14 day dry to reserve the terps which will take the date to the 7th of July.
That leaves me with 2 days to trim and clean up the property to hand it back over without the landlord knowing what I’ve been upto.
So my issue is I need the buds to be dry on that 14th day to make sure everything goes to plan.
Will the 60/60 all the way from start of dry to end of dry ensure that it will take exactly 14 days?

By the way, as mentioned previously on this thread I am actually away on Holliday during this dry period. I go away on the 26th June and come back on the 7th July so I will be back just in time too if it’s a 14 day dry.

I should add that I’ll be putting them in bags and knotting them so they don’t stink out my city whilst I move them lol. Was just concerned that if they are in a concealed bag like that and are wet may cause me damp issues….
when i first started growing decades ago i found that putting them in plastic while still too wet promoted a homegrown, green grass taste. i found that using paper bags was good. my first successful dry i sealed some wet cannabis in a brown paper bag i had made an envelope out of. the finished product had a great pineapple taste. i also found that drying too quick also render the same results as putting them in plastic while too wet, green homegrown grass taste.

i would avoid using plastic bags while drying if possible. actually i would probably double bag them. first put them in paper bags and then put the paper bags in plastic and seal them.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated guys ❤️

what temp and humidity do I need in my dry room to be able to have dry buds in 7 days. 2 days after the 7 day dry I will be flying away on Holliday so I need to dry in 7 days.

My room is sealed so should be able to hit any targeted temps and humidities.
I get away with 73 temps and 58 humidity. Don't own a Canatrol and am not for business, just home grower . Folks love my weed and can not tell what temps they were cured in... thats some real world shit.
