some of the best stuff i got out of a dispensary was $50 an ounce. stuff was sticky, gooey, smelly and flavorful. some really beautiful stuff

In my area of Ca it’s very difficult to get started. Besides the regs/permits required, there’s not a big market for bud, it’s flooded. Selling can be tough, since many dispensaries have their suppliers locked in, so you’d need a really unique product. That said, there are several boutique type sellers. I have a friend who got into commercial when they approved medicinal use in Ca. When recreational was approved he already had all his sales channels in place. Now with a flooded bud market, he processes mostly for vapes and edibles.

Here in OKC, unless you're going to (legally) grow and go big, and I mean really big, forget it. I get $10 1/8ths and the most I've ever spent on flower was $80 oz. It's so cheap here that if you have your med license, there's no sense in growing, at least indoors. Quality and potency is decent also. Hell, I can get a legal oz of shake for making edibles for $20. Taxes on it are pretty friggin' reasonable too.

cheapest i've bought was $50 for an ounce. i have bought strains between $100 an ounce to $10 or $15 gram stuff. i have to admit, that $50 ounce stuff was some of the best i've had. that being said some of the pricier stuff was worth the price in my opinion but i don't smoke that much (1 or 2 pin joints a day) so a small amount goes a long way with me. saw some $25 ounces but when i looked at the stuff i decided to pass. i've bought cannabis in several states over the last decade.

Seneca Reservation in New York sells $40 ounces every Wednesday. I mean it's crap, but the tea toteler don't care about quality. I grow craft and wouldn't sell mine for under $200. In fact, I don't sell mine at all because I can't find any in my area that is anywhere near as good as mine at ANY price.

the stuff i saw for $25 was brown and weathered. personally i think craft is the way to go. $200 is not bad for some really good stuff. "back in the day" 😌 a really good strain was $400 to $600 an ounce. it's been a long time since then, i'd say considering the price difference $200 is decent. especially in an area where nothing competes.

Back in the 70’s, the really good Humboldt skunk was $3-$5k a lb. Now they’re lucky to get $1200 to $2000.

When the gold rush came to cali in 1849, there were prospectors everywhere and most went broke. The money was in the services and tools the gold miners needed to mine and harvest their gold. The stores and shops that provided the tools and services were the ones that got rich, not 99 percent of the miners. Perhaps if you were to provide a bud doctor service to private growers, do house calls to check the temp, humidity, EC and PH and provide a weekly visit for a fee to monitor and keep plants that are out of range back into range. Have a travel kit with PH tester, TDS meter, A temp and humidity digital lcd. Test the run-off in the dirt, the tds and ph in the reservoirs, use a light guage and monitor the PAR with light meter, build custom scrogs, hang lights and fans, assemble tents, etc... you get the idea. 100 a week to maintain balance in a small grow of 6 plants for 1 hour service call. emergency call with same day response 250 etc... Once you build up your routes like a pool service you could possible make a living at it.. and enjoy figuring out and saving other peoples grows!

I can by top shelf for 90 out here all day long. I fully agree I would sell mine for less than 200 either. Just shows how bad it’s got.
