Do any of your neighbors grow? I don't know if that is pollinated or not, but marijuana pollen is wind driven, and can be carried for miles, so it's a possibility. Or maybe it's just a strange discoloration. The same color can be seen on the distal half of two other pistils in that picture.

but I think i may have an explanation. I have a male that I identified, pulled, and planted in my third level of my backyard so I could take clones for breeding cuz it had nice bushy growth, but I haven't killed it yet. I checked today and one of the pre-flowers opened, but I still find it hard to believe one flower's pollen was enough to find my plant upstairs.

I took some clones earlier and ill take some more today and kill it. I'd rather not risk other peoples crops.
I have a question about cloning however. The clones I look after under my makeshift humidity dome don't root seemingly but the cuttings I dump next to my peppers outside suddenly take off. The dome is just a 64 quart upside down with cups of soil and cuttings inside with some temp and humidity sensors.
I'd rather do most of this DIY as I think it's more fun that way and y'know money and all that. How can I improve my success rate without buying rockwool or other fancy stuff?

Have you brushed up against any of the flower sites? When I do, my plants pistils also darken prematurely. Pollen usually is more widespread. If the other guy was right, your plant just bukkaked the whole neighborhood.
I probably have brushed up against the plants, sometimes I wo-manhandle the plants when ID-ing th sex. As for the male, only one preflower opened and I'm killing it today. Pull off a few of your Pre-Flowers. Drop them into folded A4 paper. Take to a bright comfy spot. Peel those cylakses very carefully, first your looking for a tiny hard ball. Took me 40 mins to identify first ones. If you have a 50 X magnifer you will see those hard tiny dots are fully formed seeds with a twist. With the magnifer you will see a fully formed seed. The top sealed and dropped, an embryo just visible through a pale green opaque seed, the pointy end will be a bit round at this point. These seeds do not get any bigger all the way to harvest. When you see the same brown pitsles all over your plant in end of week five of flower. Then those little seeds, the size of a flea's ass, shells harden. That's when they get pointy. Then end of week 6 to mid 7 you will begin to see a magnificent second burst of growth. Those little seeds , still the size that a flea could pass at a squeese, begin to pop all over your terminal buds mostly. You can see about a dozen pistles sprouting from a single cylax. Sensi Super Skunk can grow full on flowers the size of your thumbnail. That was back in 1997. When you see more than 2 pitsels it aint sensimelia full stop. Those seeds will just keep sprouting green weed until the rest of the plant turns brown THC.
