Right now ive been using the micro grow and bloom from advanced nutrients, 4ml/1L and a gallon per plant. Water them every 3 days
I just finished my first grow. It was a DWC, Northern Lights Auto, and I used
Advanced Nutrients products.
First of all, Did you download the official recipe from the
Advanced Nutrients website? If you did, you might have noticed that they recommend like up to 15 additive nutrient solutions. SEVERAL of them make major adjustments to the N-P-K ratio of your water solution. If you are not using them, that might be the source of the potential nutrient deficiency.
It's true that the leaves are turning brown and dying, but that is a secondary reaction to a worsening nutrient deficiency, in addition to being a sign of nutrient burn.
I had the problem right around week 8 in my grow because I had assumed that those additive solutions that they sell were just optional add-ons mostly for corporate profit margins. Then I realized just how profoundly they alter the critical elements of the nutrient solution. And I made the yellowing go away (or at least not advance any further). However, the damage was done, and the buds never developed to full size due to the nutrient deficiency during flowering.
One thing that the
Advanced Nutrients rep told me when talking with them was that for the FIRST feeding when the week (dosage) of nutrients to be used changes, the solution should be prepared at full strength. Then, ALL other feedings until the dosage changes again should be delivered at half strength. So...if it turns out that it is nutrient burn/lockout that might be the source of your troubles.
