i've seen info on neem and it seems one of the few things that is mentioned for pests. i didn't have to use anything for pest treatment other than some cinnamon powder, garlic powder and maybe a few other things similar. luckily i didn't have many pests to deal with as my plants were only outside for a month. i tried to stay away from anything that had to be applied to the plant itself. when i would bring them inside i would inspect them for pests. i had what best to my understanding was a few scales. i applied rubbing alchohol to the scale and wiped them off. it did tend to harm the leaves to varying degrees but it worked. a few fungus gnats were seen but there was never many. i have seen info saying to use milk for some pests.Pro tip for those of you struggling with outdoor pests destroying your plants this year - I bought mesh netting bag plant covers off Amazon for my few outdoor plants this year. I'm not hating it, that's for sure. We have giant grasshoppers that eat stalks in half in 5 minutes, aphids, spider mites, rodents of all sorts. Nothing has touched my plants, yet. A pre treatment of Neem before sticking outside keeps the mites and aphids at bay.
