Does anyone still use those Japanese beetle traps??Good to know. I have lots of land to experiment with, so next year, I'll plant some geraniums.
Hmmmm, have to start from seed, the bedding plants are getting pretty expensive to use as a trap crop.
And Basil works to trap them, not paralyze but they love to eat it.
Garbage lol one laying on the ground in my backyard lol, just went out and watered the garden and lo and beholdDoes anyone still use those Japanese beetle traps??
Its like that here with channel locks, between the trailer and my tool “box” easily have 10 pairsI’m sure I can dig up another 15-20 of them![]()
The skunk weed that made eating food almost too enjoyable an experience, because it felt like the roof of your mouth was connected to the bottom of your brain and every single movement was like that tickling effect that you felt when your foot falls asleep.I have been saying for a while, if I think hard enough, I can almost conjur taste of my favorites from back then. It wasn’t just the high, its was the taste in concert with the high that imprinted itself. I cannot say the same about most things you find nowadays, but there are definitely still some rad ones. Just not as memorable. Pk ultra and Willie Nelson and trainwreck are amazing and I haven’t had versions of any of those that were like they were 25 years ago.
I agree man.
Remember when head band felt like putting on a head band? The skunk weed that made eating food almost too enjoyable an experience, because it felt like the roof of your mouth was connected to the bottom of your brain and every single movement was like that tickling effect that you felt when your foot falls asleep.

I actually had some Memory Loss OG that had that headband effect recently. I like the strain a lot. Great flavor and really relaxed yet cerebral effect.Remember when head band felt like putting on a head band?
Lacewings are typically a gardner's friend. Not for these plants? I can look up the info. I should probably know as I don't typically view them as foe. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.Don't forget about these guys!
Yup, that's a junk bug (lacewing larvae are called trash bugs too)... covered in the corpses of our garden enemies. Aphids are a favorite meal as you can see by the random wings and parts on him. You can see the 2 fangs poking out at the front of the white fluff.

I have a particular set of skill sawsThis is my pride and joy. Made in Jackson, TN
This thing gets those old school early 1900s floor joists done like a hot knife and butter. Just don't let it catch on you, and say no when I tell you to carry it.
The thing sounds like a lumbermill saw ramping up from a distance compared to your average home depot skilsaw.

They literally pop. Like stepping on a small, unopened bag of chips, is probably the closest example I can think of. Yeah they're gross. I had one land on my nose the other day and went to flick it off and the fucker grabbed on harder like it was clinging to a tree. Bout made me pukeWhat do they sound like when you step on them? I tend to send crickets out the door without killing them. I would shriek like a girl stomp on it or beat it with the nearest most appropriate object with in reach.

Wish it was acceptable for us to dress the same way.No! I meant, I love lacewings, and the larvae.
They are good bugs. They look funny covered in corpses, but they are all aphid and other pest corpses. So definitely beneficial
