I know aloe worksdoes anyone have any way of cloning without rooting hormone? has anyone tired honey or aloe?
I take it you cut a piece of aloe and just jab the clone into the flesh?I know aloe works
Yes.I take it you cut a piece of aloe and just jab the clone into the flesh?
Never used clonex, how come its baned? Does it have synthetic hormones? I use hemplex, it can be used for rooting clones but I use it as an organic hormone foliar spray. Its a highly concentrated help extract obtained with a method alternating cold and hot to preserve as much hormones as possible. I dont work with clones as I said but the process with hemplex is the same as with clonex and after transplanting you can keep using it foliar or with water, but the dosage with water is too high, its way better assimilated foliarly. Thanks for the ideas. Clonex is banned where I live, so alternatives are appreciated.

Of course if you prefeer a DIY its great, I just wanted to give you a comercial alternative.
As far as I know, it's only banned in Washington State. It's approved by the EPA, so it can be sold and used elsewhere in the US. I understand some growers go out of state to buy it.Did clonex get banned?
I'm not sure. It supposedly contains a highly toxic carcinogen. It's on the banned pesticide list.Never used clonex, how come its banned?
I searched for hemplex. It's available in Europe, but I couldn't find it here. I use a kelp fertilizer for my clones and it works. I add it to the water and also as a foliar. Apparently, kelp contains growth hormones. I don't do much cloning, though. I mostly just clone the tops of plants I've grown from seeds.I use hemplex, it can be used for rooting clones but I use it as an organic hormone foliar spray. Yes, kelp contains growing hormones, hemplex is a highly concentrated kelp extract. The thing about kelp meal is that it wont have nearly as much hormones, kelp meal is added for other reasons but its better than nothing. If it comes in a liquid its more likely for it to have more hormones, but still not as much as a fitohormones concentrates. That sucks that hemplex is only available in Europe, there must be another organic hormone booster around there but if youre doing okay with what you have no need for more. Does the kelp you have specify if its high in hormones?I searched for hemplex. It's available in Europe, but I couldn't find it here. I use a kelp fertilizer for my clones and it works. What I have is kelp and seaweed general fertilizer. I couldn't find any information about its hormones. I have it on the shelf because it's a useful organic liquid for foliar feeding. I tried using it with clones and had good results. I don't invest much in cloning, but I'll look for a concentrated extract with hormones. I wonder if there's one that could help seedings grow faster.Does the kelp you have specify if its high in hormones?

Thats precissely what hormone concentrates do, your seedling will grow and root faster and after that your plant will also grow and root faster. As for the liquid kelp you have, Im pretty sure it has hormones so it will help with rooting and also growing, but for the same reason some people use clonex I like to use hemplex which is a concentrate too but 100% organic and can be used foliar during veg and early bloom. I wish I could help you find a good one where you live. What I have is kelp and seaweed general fertilizer. I couldn't find any information about its hormones. It seems like a good topic for a thread.Really?
Why?
Clonex? Nah. I don't clone much because we like to try different strains. Growing from seed is a good way to do it. That said, I have two clones in the flowering tent just finishing their 5th week at 12/12.Want me to smuggle you some?
I searched and didn't find one that is better than what I have. I've been using it with seedlings and clones, and it does help. I used it for the vegetation stage a few grows back, and the plants loved it, so I'll try adding it to my irrigation water again. It greens the leaves a lot, so it's apparently good for improving N.Thats precissely what hormone concentrates do, your seedling will grow and root faster and after that your plant will also grow and root faster.
