Hey guys I’m pretty new to this so I don’t really know the best course of action. I’ve got a plant growing in soil in a tent in my shed. Things were going really well but we’ve had like 7-10 days where it’s been 100 degrees plus in my tent. Most of the trichomes are milky and I’m at probably 70% amber pistils. With the heat wave, development seems to have stopped. Do I need to chop now or can I ride it out even though this heat wave doesn’t seem like it’s going away any time soon?

70% amber is allot ...
Post pic first .

sounds like they are slowing down at the end of the cycle. I would hold off and wait for the trics to hit the colors you are looking for. Sounds like it will be in the next couple of days anyways.

Here are some pictures. I know they’re not great, sorry. Still don’t understand how some of you get such nice pictures. I should add that I’m 8 weeks into flower. The yellow/browning started maybe two weeks into flower. Unquestionably it was too hot, and if Photone is to be believed I had way too much light on them - like 1700pphd. But it seems strange this discoloration didn’t pop up before then.
It seems like growth had stalled for 2 weeks or so.

When you say 70% Amber I'm assuming you're talking about the pistils because the trichomes are not 70% Amber

I don't see much Amber but I also don't see much clear in that one picture of the trichomes so I think you're in the harvest zone and if you think you're going to lose the crop it's always better to harvest than to lose plants

from your close up pics it looks like most of your heads are damaged/destroyed,..
For those of us that need an explination would you mind sharing about tge damaged heads? I found the seed, was like playing wheres waldo for a sec. But what heads are damaged and where can i look to see this as well. Also if you are smoking too and dont mind helping me learn what causes this and how to avoid it.

Im thinking youre refering to the head of the trics yeah?
