I will say someone here reached out to me, (a member here) willing to donate in the future, this comp will not likely have any prizes, but there may be some in future comps, still people to talk to about it, maybe we can do something in the future during the next one. All speculation atm but it’s something to work on!
Thats awesome! Very generous of them♥️ love all the ideas and however it ends up itll be super fun! Could do a pool type bean collection from all that enter and can donate and winner gets that🤷🏼‍♂️ i have diarrhea of bad ideas and they never stop! Im going now😂✌️

I found some 1gals in the “garden pile” lol, but seriously everything I’ve ever tried to grow in plastic pots always does so crappy : ) may have to look into these!
They will require daily watering and easy enough to gauge when they need water too. Plastic pots are easier to overwater because they hold moisture in the soil better.

Hell I like plastic ones because they stay wet a bit longer.
I have it dialed to feed every other day, I’m starting week 7 on a lot in my flower room, so it’s possible to water less. 🤷‍♂️

I have it dialed to feed every other day,
The bulb just came on in regards to watering/feeding to pot size and dry back time! ( I think😂) I like my seven gallons but the rate you can water a smaller container vs larger! And thus more feedings🤯💡😆 kind of a big deal for me LOL! Thanks for sharing Capt!

heard! After reading this I started thinking about how I vegged my current run in those plastic bags and they did great as long as I was keeping up with them. I could add more perlite to to the soil and get a great dry back time! Im feeling better about the plastic pots! Thanks McFLY!

Thanks fellas!🙏

If you were running organic your going to have to top dress eventually, there’s not enough nutrients in a one gallon container to get you through harvest.
This is where I'm like nevermind. Cause if you can't realize this, you don't need to be competing with anybody 🤣 trying to get people of screw up that's what that is.

op hea
I imagine how the roots looks like to sustain a stable position for such a tall plant with such a small cup...probably like a jar full of squidwards :)
But that's impressive how small the pot could be
It was the largest pain.in The ass grow ever, they were so damned top heavy it was stupid.
It took Jedi levels of balance strategically placed against each other to be a literal house of cards hahahaha. It blew past my expectations yeild wise as well. Yeah it’s crazy what you can manage if you have proper micro climate settings. you can control a lot more than you think. Some days go in while In flower, I’ll simulate anover cast day and turn down the lights. Sometimes a few days at a time. It gives the plants a break all told, but doing that you know, it slows the plants need to pull from the medium keeping it moist longer, light % is throttled back so it’s not as warm. Slows the dryout too. slows transpiring At night bc it didn’t pull as much food as normal. Then there is airflow that can dictate awhole other set of circumstances. thats needs to be balanced Into the equation for optimization of your rig. Shit can be tricky, but once you find that happy medium, presto as fuck.

I want to try the hybrid fabric/plastic pot from build a soil. Plastic definitely retains water a lot longer. Outdoors they get cooked though, they heat up big time in the sun.

This will be my one gallon pot I believe

Literally no markings on it lol probably more like 3L or something that’s a US gallon water jug next to it

Same brand as my 3 gallon pots

Best part I pay $1 each for these at my local hydro shop! $2.25 for the 3 gallons

3gallon pot

Ok here’s my game plan so far!
Medium promix BX -M and additional perlite and maybe a bit of vermiculite
