I have about 100 plants and 15 of them is dying at the top, I've never seen anything like this. The plants are now about 10 ft tall and they look good except the tops!

I think that's catipillar damage my friend really now getting bud rot. Get up there on a ladder pull it over and cut that off check it out quickly

Looks like bud rot but the buds look pretty thin for that. Has it been real rainy and humid where you’re at ? Caterpillar damage makes sense good call
Well, they are not budding yet. Not much rain but the humidity has been up some, but nothing out of the ordinary, I've been growing for 34 years and never encountered anything like this???

I kinda thought the same thing, I did cut the top out of one and I can't find anything out of the ordinary. I've dealt with everything in the last 34 years, but this takes the cake! BTW, I do spray for catepillars and fungus about once a month for the mites and leaf spot.

Are you over watering ?
I have not had this issue, so my info I am looking up or researching online to see if I can trouble shoot the issue your plants have.

No I don't think so. as I haven't watered them, Fortunately we have gotten some rain about every other week, but I could be wrong. They stay dry, almost all the time. If anything, they may be getting to dry, but that usually shows up all over the plant.

I like you, what the hell is going on here.

More than 100 microorganisms (fungi, bacteria, virus, etc.) can cause disease in cannabis. In many studies conducted; hemp streak virus (HSV), hemp mosaic virus (HMV), alfalfa mosaic virus (AMV), cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) and arabis mosaic virus (ArMV) have been reported to cause diseases in hemp varieties. Also, tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), tobacco ringspot virus (TRSV), tobacco streak virus (TSV), tomato ringspot virus (TomRSV), eunoymous ringspot virus (ERSV), elm mosaic virus (EMV), and foxtail mosaic virus (FMV) are isolated from hemp plants. In recent years, studies on cannabis viruses have reported that beet curly top virus (BCTV) and lettuce chlorosis virus (LCV) infect cannabis plants.

I had no idea. Thanks for posting this info!

The only thing I've ever seen do that is moth larvae. I've never even seen bud rot that high on a plant w/o larvae damage. Very weird and you just keep whatever that is away from me and my plants😉

Not saying it's what it is, just thought you might wanna read this...
