How do you like the lotus nutes? I've seen them but couldn't find anyone here with first hand experience.

Lotus sells a product called Boost that you can add during flower.
Like most Bloom Boosters with high P&K, it should add size and density to your buds as well as oil production for taste and potency.
I use boost already with bloom. Once a week.

I have a question for all of you mixers ! I said I use foxfarm 40 - 40 - 10 % throughout my whole gro.
And, lotus nutrients every week. I'm in my 2nd week of flower. What would you guys think I could add, to what I already have, to my soil medium during flower.
If anything, because she looks very healthy.

It wouldnt be much. Id say you’d be safe with one tea a week with roots organic bloom booster. Its great because its finely powdered and is loaded with mycorrhizae

Well last harvest went great. Full buds. High potency seeds kind of saved me. 24 % thc, but it could have been 32 %.
Where I ran into trouble was at the end, when I had 3 different plants, with 3 different ripe times, three different heights, and they outgrew my tent ! So, lotus works very well. Too well if your not ready !

Yes I have that already but it's lotus.

I have all lotus products already. I was just wondering if I could put a layer of something for top soil during my finale stage ? I got room for maybe a 2 inch layer of something. That would super charge bud development.

Yup I got that. I'm trying to find something that would work good in flower, a 2 inch top soil layer. Maybe worm castings ?

Do you follow the feed chart they have or less or more?
I've never used powder nutes before, Do you mix it with water or put it on the soil and water it in?
Do you use the Carboflush and Calmag from them also?
What size do you buy and how long does it last you?

Appreciate the information, definitely going to give them a try now!

Yes. Follow the chart. Mix with water. I use 2 - 16 ounce bottles water bottles.
Put mix in the two bottles.
Slowly put it around your whole medium, let sit 15 minutes. Then put 2 more bottles- only water this time, onto medium. That's 2 liters total. Then I let that sit good for 24 hours, and resume normal watering until the next week.

The nice thing about using 16 oz bottles is I can get under the plant better.

No to Carboflush, and Calmag. Lotus does it all.

If it aint broke, dont fix it.

If you are using all synthetic bites why bother with soil at all? Use a soilless media like sunshine mix number 4 and do a full schedule.

I’m going to do a grow using nothing but BAS 3.0 recipe craftblend castings and water. I’ll document it on here. Just to show you the results and how little work it is. 2x4 tent 2 city picker pots 4 plants 2lbs.

Soil still has benefits. Sythetic doesn't normally have the necessary ingredients for creating SOME secondary metabolites. Soil naturally gains microbiology and that is where you get a lot of the action of creating enzymes that the plant would normally have to synthesize itself, thus freeing up much needed energy during flower.

That's synganic I think 🤔 indoors I do this alot. I will start out in a foxfarm ocean forest in 3" pots then 2gallon with the same soil mix with a organic topdress 2week veg and flip from here on out it's canna A and B and my lab's.

I think that's the reason I used 40 % frog in my medium. To give it a touch of live soil.

I agree with the comments who’ve already posted, but would add that it’s fun. I like knowing what goes in the plant, playing around with formulations, seeing what works better or worse. It’s just another growing variable to play around with. Mostly, I like the set it and forget it. My plants take a lot of punishment being in a greenhouse and I never have to worry about nutrients or pH if I’ve done the soil right. It makes the whole thing easier. But, hey whatever works for you. Sorry I don’t have tips on addition for your mix, but there are several places you can send your soil to have them tell you what to amend with after lab testing. State extension services are a good place to start. Usually they’ll do it on the cheap.
