Agreed, as I said in a previous post for me its always at 6,5 full dosage aswell unless I add another liquid that is not inside the line which is not her case. Waiting for her to meassure the PH of watered nutes and runoff as suggested so we can know for sure but as I said in a previous post I also suspect it could also be something in the substrate since fox farms can come with non fully composted material and also relies on microorganisms a lot because it has organic ammendments. Thats why I think that your idea of adding mycorrizae is good, ideally you should have bacteria and fungi not just one. Also letting the chlorine evaporate, which I suspect she wasnt doing. (Correct me if Im wrong @WickedMichelle )

Minneapolis uses chloramine in their water so a 24 hour rest wont do anything to reduce it.

And yes I know you can purchase water conditioners for aquariums, why is this necessary? When I did have aquariums a while back, they were freshwater not salt, but I didn't treat my water and I did not have any fish die. Maybe I was lucky.

She got a test from her tap water and it does have chlorine, she posted it in the thread before Ill repost it here

About the fish, well think about ingesting chloramine yourself, its not gonna kill you otherwise it wouldnt be in tap water but is definetely not healthy. Maybe they didnt die but they had a shorter lifespan or might even have developed an illness related to that but since we dont do autopsies to fish we dont know. That said Im not into fish tanks so I have no idea about what is required for a healthy enviroment but there's definetely different levels of healthy.

Youre right the chemical NH2CI is chloramine I did a quick google search, they should call it for what it is instead of "residual chlorine" but still she has plenty of chloride that needs to be evaporated. Its still better to use osmotized water but better to only have chloramine than chloride and chloramine. Top tier water would be manantial water since it has all the minerals without all the waste and cleaning agents of tap water but then it would get expensive to water the plants. Its cheaper to buy cheap osmotized water or ideally have a RO system and buy a supplement of minerals. Many bases from many brands also have minerals and recomend that you use osmotized water like AN.

Nice! Good luck and let us know how it goes, Im curious about the PH, it was meassured with an unrealiable tool but still showed 7,5 which is too high for optimal bio-mineral intake. Hopefully the PH is okay and everything goes well, but if not its gonna be easy to fix anyway once you have the tools.

My only concern with organic is storing what I do not use. These AN nutrients are small bottles and store in a closet well. They do stink though. But yes, simple is nice. Mixing the nutrients can be a bit of a chore. Especially when you have to add some in a specific order and mix well in between each.

I may try that next grow. However if I get this down.... I am pretty sure I can get to this point again without issues..... I want to try an auto next. Once I get the soil/nutrient balanced, I think things will be much better.

Chloramine is basicly chlorine with a nitrogen atom. In pool care we run into our chlorine being turned into chloramines through various contaminates like people farts or duck poo. To revert this we break point shock the water with 50x the normal amount of chlorine forna very specific amount of time. The nitrogen atom is stripoed reverting the chloramine to chlorine, which is a more powerful sanatizer.

Yes, that is what they recommend. However distilled water seems to be the most expensive one. I have been paying 2.50 per gallon at Target. I had to get it for the humidifier, tap water was turning everything in the tent white with a sticky film.

I will update when I can. Payday is thursday. Fingers crossed in the meantime. I did remove the cal/mag from the last feeding and reduced lights to 65% and raised them as much as I could.

The white tips are not getting worse so 🤞 🤞

About the organic storing, AN has you covered, I use the organic line and the liquids dont ferment. Iguana Juice is a bit smelly but because it has fish fish hydrolysate and algae but usually it takes me 1 year to go through a 1L bottle and everything is okay. The only thing I store in the fridge is the microorganisms and a couple of liquids that are not from AN that have fermented on me before.

OMG, take a wiff of B 52. 🤮

I did not even think about AN organic. The chart I am using was given to me by a couple of different people so I went with it. It was an expensive journey. I do think I will be looking into other methods. I have seen a really nice grow on here where the person used Fox Farms nutrients. Some with Gala Green. Once I am out of the AN, I will be looking at another method.😁

That nitrogen atom makes a huge difference though, the fact that you cant evaporate it is not good when it comes to watering plants and youre using microorganisms. What youre saying is really interesting though. So if Im getting it right, if you buy chlorine and put that x50 the normal ammount chloramine goes back to chloride and evaporates? Im not sure Im getting it, I think so. I have the tests results from my hometown and they dont include chloramine despite the fact that it does have chlorine in it so yes, I guess they add it artificially like Zab said. Mine its in catalan because I live in catalonia but the chemical names are the same.

If you get that ro buddy or want to see if your faucet is compatible first you could put up a pic of it. I could help you with an easy install. I think a $75 is wort it. I actually have mine rigged up with extra valves so i can use it for RO/DI water for the humidifiers or RO water for frrding the plants. Biggest draw back is it takes an hour and a half to make 5 gallons.

It doesnt evapotate. We add a reducer to neutralize when breakpointing.

I think I remember you giving me a link to that. I do remember a link to a water treatment system. I may have to consider that. I was really hoping that I could get away with tap water. My humidity is a bit high right now so I have not spent anything on water for the last month. 👍

I have heard that as well. I don't know about other phones and reliability, but A friend has a "quantum meter?" not sure of the make but it cost him a few hundred I think and when checked against his meter I was within 10 to 20 points difference which is minimal. I have a Pixel phone, so not sure about others but those were my results.

Here is an update on the plants.....

Things are better. White tips seem to be vanishing. Removed cal/mag, pulled lights back 10% and raised them. Last fed yesterday around noon CST. (7/20)

As I look at them from the side, I hope I didn't wait too long to flower. The near death of the two early on threw off my whole schedule.
