Oh and that balance dress sounds like a proper formula. Some strains more than others really do like on have that nitrogen in flower. Every run I never fully stop giving it.

Yeah I think you maybe ticked up to 60% a little fast is all. No biggy, and the color washout may heal up a bit. You are catching it quick so yeah I would just back it down a bit.
Done! Thank you man, I appreciate it man.
Otherwise looks really good. There’s always gonna be one pia right?
That may be a potassium demand, maybe if you run that strain again preload that bloom top dress a little sooner it’ll be in the medium when it gets hangry.
I had this one time before, where 1 pheno was different. It was an SLH run, and 1 plant just didn't want to cooperate but the other 5 were fine.

Do you think I should give them their early-flower top dress and see how they go? They are due for a water today, so I can water it in today too. I am just heating the water up now because its really cold, might take a few hours. When I top dress I also mix in a mineral composite for calmag as the chart lists to do that too.

This strain was just a Freebie I got with my order to waste on my first grow but, I will be running his seeds again after this batch so I will remember this for next time. That next grow wont be starting for 3-4 weeks though.

Well that's lucky then haha! I watched a lot of YouTube on soil before I did anything, and that is what I heard there a lot too. The guy at the store told me if I don't know what I am doing with soil yet, just get the Balanced Flower top dress so you don't have to worry about potential nitrogen deficiency in early flower, he said new-soil growers run into that issue a lot.

Hey whats up Captain! You think its potassium deficiency the yellow tips and edges? I suggested either nute burn or potassium deficiency. If I catch potassium deficiency I like to make them banana peel tea. It has vitamins, aminos and suggars too. But if youre gonna make them a banana peel tea make sure its organic bananas, most of the pesticides that dont go away stay in the peels. As for the top dressing, you feed them full potency nutes with water every other watering right? If youre also gonna top dress go easy with it. I do both aswell, top dress and water with nutes but my top dressings are fairly light. Lets see what the Captain has to say first, he knows more than I do 😁

Its always a treat when Captain pays a visit haha.

The chart has it so that actual "feeds" (fertilizers) are only added to the water 1 week before top dresses go in, but other products such as kelp, rhizo and micros powders are used in-between those to help the soil break it down. Those products, which are: kelp, rhizo and micros, are added once every other water.

So I decided to have a look what happened last time my plants were hungry, and I think I might have found something...
Last time I had a problem I had fed my plants 1 week late, because I was worried about overfeeding them. When this happened the SAME plant, top left, was the first to go green and show deficiencies... Check it out. Top left.
After I top dressed her, she came around, but it took about 3 days. This was on Jun 24th
What do you guys think?

yeah- she might be just hungry piglet 🐽 you might load a bit more in that one later on and check
oho
we have Underdog now in those 3 🀣
I vote for more mushrooms with next soup as it can be also root ball problem 🀟

Week 2 of Flower
I went over my grow history. The left plant has given me issues like this before, and I think it is pretty telling that my other 2 plants are doing fine. I wasn't really sure how to deal with it, and there was a range of advice given. Obviously the first thing I did was decrease my light as was suggested because that's easy, and it is now on 50%. I think you can see they appreciated that.

The left plant, twice now, has been the first to get hungry and turn light green. She has also been the most sensitive. If my chart is to be believed then when I fed a little late in veg the left plant started turning light green as a result. After I fed them she became healthy again 2-3 days later. By the same chart Day 1 of Week 2 of flower is Top Dress day with the Balanced dress so I made a decision.

I decided to give my plants their next Top Dress (Balanced formula for week 1-3 of Flower) and also included Stone Age which is calmag mineral composite top dress as the chart suggested. I watered it in. I think I need to work on my camera angles to ease the effect of lighting on the leaves 😭 I am happy with losing the red tint to my pictures but I need to figure out what angle to best take pictures when I actually get UNDER my LED light with my camera. How bright it is really washes out the green, but at least its not red anymore.

It has only been 24 hours since I watered, so we wont see any results for a few more days, but the leaves on all 3 plants have perked up from the light being decreased. They have just started to bud today as well, so I thought I would update. It has been 9 days since the flip, and this is the first sign of real budding starting.

Only one way to know~ its the most logical step even if not the safest one considering that you missed 1 week of nutes. I said to go 1/3rd because its safer, if she gets worse she is definetely hungry but being honest I would probably do the same knowing I missed 1 week. Also from my standpoint, if I tell you sure go ahead and give her full dosage and she gets worse, I would feel really, really bad. I think you took the right decision though.

I totally understand man and I really appreciate your input, I much prefer having interaction here over writing notes in a Notepad. Soil is really complicated I am coming to find. And offering solutions can be nerve wracking, I know this because I help friends build high end PCs worth thousands of dollars, but I demand they allow me to put it together if I do it for them.

If I have eyes on it, in person, I can see it and connect it properly as per the Motherboard manual instead of assuming they did it correctly. But if I get a call from a friend and have to give advice over the phone or through pictures I start sweating, because I am not hands on 🀣 I cant take a better look, I cant see if he plugged the headers in right, I cant see if he connected ALL the PSU cables, there is a LOT that can go wrong and it becomes infinitely harder when done from a distance. So I TOTALLY understand man trust me on that haha. 1/3 of a dose would have given her a meal and probably would have been the safer route, I could have added the rest of her dose later but I decided to try and trust that the plant had done this before, so I took a bit of a risk now I just gotta hope for the best. Even if I did give 1/3 of a dose, I would say that would have been food at least and wouldn't have done her any harm.

Oh and I see you have got some new beginnings too 😍 πŸ˜‰ 4 seedlings about to pop off, exciting! I am watching your thread haha. I also hope my girls look as good as yours at day 30.

Im glad that you understand and that there are other people here more experienced than me that can also give advice. Sometimes I dont feel confident enough for the reasons you mentioned so if I see that no one answers I go with a safe route, if I know for sure then I know for sure but in this case I didnt. So its better to have a little bit more yellowing and then give them more food if thats the case than completely burn them and make it even worse if Im mistaken.

That's very true, the safe route would have still helped my plants, and now the risk is passed on to me 🀣 so if anything goes wrong, its all on me. You are right as well! Its a well set principal that you can always add a little more, but removing it from the soil then correcting the imbalance is very hard. So lets hope for the best 🀣 .

Dont worry man, I just found a hermy today in my 4 melonade runtz T_T shit happens, we make mistakes, we learn. In this case there was not much I could do because I cant lower the heat when the outside heat is 35ΒΊC or more, but I know exactly why it happened thanks to fucking up in the past and I know that after summer it will be bussiness as usual so Im not too worried. Also I still think you made the right choice.

I'm sorry to hear that man, I had a clone from a friend hermy on me once ("monster cropped clone" taken in flower and he swore by it), and I know what its like dealing with heat. I wasn't able to solve my heat issue until I got an air con installed for my lung room. I could only afford it because that just so happens to also be my bedroom so I chose to install it there instead of in my main living quarters, but I only had money for 1 air con system. When it gets too hot I now have to retreat into my bedroom 🀣 .

Your girls are doing really well, I have been following along in your thread. Yeah, I don't know whats going on, it could be either light stress or overfeeding. Eledin thinks its overfeeding because its only 1 plant that has a problem, but he also said it could possibly be light stress so I need to assume it could be that too. But whatever it is something is wrong. I dialed it back to what it was this morning which is 60%, and if I notice any stress tomorrow I will turn it down again.

These are the 2 plants doing well, I don't see any signs of light stress on the first 2, but the 3rd picture something is obviously wrong.

And this is the afflicted plant. Overfeeding? Light stress? Both? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ What do you think? My current course is to lower my light intensity, and give this girl a 1/3 dose instead of a full dose.

Now that I am above 50% they are producing a bit of their own heat, but still runs cool. With my heater my tent gets to a minimum of 17 at night, but mostly hang around 19-21. I am paranoid about fires, so I don't want to put my heater in my closet or my tent, the best I can do is bring my lung room temperature up. But it is very nice to have to deal with the cold for a change.
I have seen people using portable heaters in their tent. I bought an oil filled heater this winter because my unit was freezing up and locking up ( heat pumps are ineffective when it gets too cold ). I shut it off before going to sleep. Went to the restroom and the cord was red hot and off. I read reviews later and someone posted that it melted their outlet and almost started a fire. I bought the oil filled because supposedly lower risk of fire. That thing was returned, it also smelled like b.o. Too bad because it felt nice and the plants were liking it. Safety first.

I had read the same thing. I looked up reviews and found similar stories as well, it took me like 2 days to not only find a good heater, but find one and have it in stock at a local store. Hopefully I wont have to use it much longer, right now it doesn't leave the lowest setting (1 out of 4) and I just have to keep checking it and making sure the front unit and cord is alright. All good so far, but the horror stories are pretty scary. For precaution I put a smoke detector in the room lung room to accompany the one in my closet.

Stay safe. I am trying to keep my tent cool enough this time of year.

Awful isn't it? yellow pics with white edges. I gave up as I started to spit saliva on plants trying to make good photos and just uncoloure them in adobe image filter now. This big panels are way too intensive for photo. One of the things I regret the most now is that my plants are locked and I won't take them in normal light to photo them. I like to do that πŸ™ƒ

And everything will be fine. I am sure she will green up now. I bet she will want more 🍽️

Dont worry man, I just found a hermy today in my 4 melonade runtz

I just thought yesterday that I forget about herming at all and if I will find one in mine it will be tricky to cut it out 🀣

I just thought yesterday that I forget about herming at all and if I will find one in mine it will be tricky to cut it out 🀣
Same here the one that opened is the one that I saw, then I saw the rest. Should have been checking as its not the first time that this happens to me during summer but its been so long since the last time that I just wasnt paying attention for polen sacks πŸ’© I thought at most the heat would affect my yield.

Hey!
Its been a while for me. I had a massive disaster I wont bore you with 3 years ago. Life went in raw and it wasn't cool man. I was so devastated that I just left my setup where it was, for 3 years. I went to take it down to make space 2 months ago before I realised what I had in this space was a damn good use of it, so I just cleaned it instead. I then purchased a new veg tent that has a zipper that isn't AIDS like my last tent. I swapped from MH/HPS DE globes to LED lights as heat has always cost me a lot of money to keep down. I also swapped from coco medium with House & Garden nutes to organic living soil with top dressings etc.

This strain is called Grifter (RMQ x Fritters) by the breeder Heavy Dayze and they are feminized. I now have a lot of seeds to grow, number of different breeders and a lot of phenos to hunt, but this is just going to be a quick return to growing run. Some topping, some LST, 1 month veg, nothing fancy. I am just using this grow as my introduction to living soil and LEDs. I started about 3 weeks ago.

I have a smaller seedling tent, a 4x4 veg tent and a 5x5 flower tent. Right now I am in the 4x4 tent with a 6 inch exhaust and 480w LED light on 30% but a fair distance from the plants.
View attachment 2172161

I made some errors early on but nothing that set me back too far, just a few wrinkles and curls that have now stopped. The problem was that my tent was too cold, thats LEDs for you I guess. Lung room is heated now. They are 18 days old from first leaves showing, and I usually top around 4-6 nodes.

By how much I am watering them each day I think its almost time to top and transplant when they recover. Their veg pot will be just over 1 gallon, flower will be 7. They all have 4 nodes, but some are more developed than others.
Thanks for checking my thread out!
Great job, it is Spider Farmer SE3000+SF grow tent. right?

Hey there. I am currently using the SF7000 for flower in my old Gorilla tent, but I also have the SF5000 for my Spiderfarmer 4x4 tent which is for my veg.
Edited to add: I am very happy with the quality of your tent material and the zipper especially, and I am even happier with your lights.
