I’m ready and waiting!

I’m gonna stick to an auto for this one as it’s all I’ve grown so far. Hopefully have some experience in photos by the time the next one comes around.

Using a 4.5l air pot but I’ve moved the bottom up a couple runs so it’s just under 4 litresView attachment 2226979
There’s a chance I might have to work away a couple times over the next few months so I’ve added moisture wicking thread to the bottom so I can put it on my auto pot @Mikedin is this within the rules?View attachment 2226983View attachment 2226981View attachment 2226982

that's still over 3.4 l
Yeah I think we’ll let that slide lol, what’s the medium gunna be?

😏😏😏
time to downsize the airpot 🤣
my seeds are on the way. 6 days on ups timeline
are we sprouting all together?

If people are allowed to use drip systems or other irrigation, I don't see why you can't use the ACI self watering base.

I'm actually using the ACI bases with their 3 gallon fabric pots in my RB x Okie grow in the 55"x28"x80" tent. The bases save me a ton of time especially since they're drinking 1/2 gallon a day right now, have to fill the bases every other day.

I have an extra self watering base, I might use it also. I work 6 days a week and the amount of watering that will need done for a 1 gallon air pot, be smart to self water it.

I have no problem hand watering though if that's what is decided.

To me is no biggie it’s just drip systems automated etc I think is what we’re avoiding, wicking could be achieved by just overwatering with a solid saucer so adding a rope isint much of a biggie lol

I’m a hand waterer lol

Yes we’ll set a date soon, then we can get started, it’s about to get fun I knew the month would fly by
Hopefully the 3x2 I ordered from AC Infinity is here by then.
9 days with no tracking updates, emailed support and they said it is lost and they will send another.
It was during the prime day sale so I'm sure it was crazy between them and the shipping company.

I managed to locate my seed stash. Carefully stored for the past 15 or so years waiting for the right time. I guess that time is now. So I picked out 5 random seeds and I'm going to let the FarmFam decide which one to use. Just quote and post your choice 1-5.

all mix heavily fertilized. wouldn't be my choice for raising auto. just saying.... :P
Thanks, was going to start them in light mix then up pot into all mix at about 14 days. Do you think it will be too heavy for that age? Not used it before but that’s my plan for the 2 autos I’ve got going at the moment, so I guess they will give me an idea of how it will go

I know it’s recommended not to up pot autos but I’ve done it before and it’s worked out ok. I find it gives better control of watering when they are young.

Light is what I use then normal fertilizers. I always put autos into final and don't bother them so I won't help with replanting from non fertilized to fertilized but it seems like bit risky idea 🤣 must be executed properly 😉

😂😂😂

I could grow in a 34 litre and I’m sure you’d still wipe the floor with me!

But I’m happy to go up another level in the interest of a fair game
We decided 4.5 liters is max because 4.5 liters is 1 imperial gallon which is the system they use in Europe. We haven't seen a lot of other members pots yet and we have quite a few members from Europe so we are going to see others with 4.5 liter pots, I'm sure as well as 4.4, 4.3, 4.2, 4.1 and even less.

Yes i'll be using 1gal USA calls nursery pot size now that i've got a few freed up LOL. Still not sure what i'm gonna sprout but most likely a auto of some sort. I'll have 3 vegging photos with it in the tent. I'm in NO rush LOL i'm still burping and harvesting plants.

They had that big internet fuck up as well, I had packages that said lost or running late due to 3rd party technical issues etc, they ended up arriving late, hopefully you’ll be back in buisnesss. I’m thinking it’ll be around the end of the first week of august, most should be ready or close enough that a random seedling won’t affect plant count for a week or so etc

I’m ready to rock I have my first plant in a 1 gallon (US gallon) in flower kow so that’ll be my trial plant I’ve never ran that small before 🤣

I don’t know how many people are planning on running organic soil in this challenge, but I will tip my cards just a little bit to everyone at that table. Leave yourself some space to top dress a few times through harvest.
Think of it like an organic soil being a battery, and your plant as a cellphone being used daily. And the container is the size of the battery. A small container will exhaust its charge quicker than a larger container.
On the flip side those who use fertilizer will essentially be “charging their phone daily”.
That’s all for now folks.
