Best quote I’ve ever heard on tv show, Deadliest Catch, old fart talking about the weather,” it’s winter, you get winter time weather”. Same holds true for outdoor grows, it’s outdoors, you get everything that goes with it, wind, rain, bugs , diseases and giant plants. Gimme that great outdoors! Meant no offense to old farts, I’m one.

I really want to try giant cannas next year. Just wish they could survive our winters in Mich.
Outdoors is a constant battle. We struggle just as much as the farmers with hundreds of acres. Can be a full time job if you let it.

I dig those out every year. Ones at my house are near the foundation, they over winter. Plant one, two years you have a bunch of them.

Having a garden is the best thing you can do, every year it gets better and better. Some years some stuff does good, some years it don’t.its a great learning tool.

Best quote ever. I start lots of plants in the spring and give em away. First thing I tell them is just grow them big, don’t worry about anything. Don’t take off leaves, don’t do anything. I get that occasional text with a picture,” I got a yellow leave”, don’t stress, leaves die.just sprayed my garden with my homemade kelp spray, makes my garden happy!

I show off mom's garden sometimes lol. I dont show off mine, it's in the front yard, and can be seen from a hilltop road near by. It's unfortunately a very obvious dead give away landmark/geolocator to where im at if someone wanted to be nefarious lol. So i dont show it off, just the fruit and veges i pull form it.

As neurotic as i am, most probably wouldn't think im as a big a gardener as i am. But really, people should be wondering how neurotic id be without a garden

Yes sir! This year at the wheelhouse, we got 2000 outside. Didn't get recent Pic of all of them, but they are 3 footers now.
