I got a basil out there starting to bolt, reckon I'll have to harvest some of it & cut the flowers off so maybe I can keep it going awhileAnyone here like fresh basil?

Kratky basil. I use 2 liter bottles with 2 oz plastic cups. Fill the cups with coco and seeds and fill the bottle with half strength nute water up to a half inch above the bottom of the red cup. Holes or slits need to be added to the red cups. A kitchen window even with indirect sunlight works well.
Good question. Basically how much veg time can you give them? If very little I'd bend them. If at least a couple weeks I'd cut 'em, but that's meHi, got this far, just stumbled upon here.
I'm trying to figure out what is the best way to go with some heavily over-vegged plants so I get the most out of them in a limited indoors flowering space.
They've grown outside in buckets all summer.

It cant go much higher than that so there's going to be heavy bending or pruning.
Basically at this point the question is it better to spare the top by adjusting horizontally, or just snap it and let the lower branches catch up?
Thanks for the reply, too bad I was impatient and clipped most of them and carried in. It's always 12/12 there.Good question. Basically how much veg time can you give them? If very little I'd bend them. If at least a couple weeks I'd cut 'em, but that's me![]()
This is probably your best bet as you'll learn a lot from the different styles and find which works best for you. Learning is always a winThanks for the reply, too bad I was impatient and clipped most of them and carried in. It's always 12/12 there.
Now the decision is will I take them back out, switch the light and harvest the remaining plants early (theyre very modest anyway) or just let then big girls deal with it.
Luckilly I spared one that was already bent from strong winds so when my lazy ass goes with option 3 at least I will see and learn.
I soooo identify with that statement. LOLGrowing marijauna is a gateway to: growing more marijauna.
So, I had that problem and GNick helpped me fix it.So far mine has been kept on the floor in a bedroom corner with a towel on it. It does seem a little more intense now than right after harvest. But in a non-paranoid way.
Initially I planned on starting another crop this fall, but if I can't find something to do with this harvest first I'll just wait. As much as the first stressed me out I miss fucking with it every day.
Ohhh wow, did you turn all those bins into dry sift? That must’ve taken a while, did he literally help you with all the work too or just the idea was his?
I did this a ton my last run! Things I didn’t end up liking and things that even may have stunted my plants! Great attitude! Live and LEARN!option 3 at least I will see and learn.
Good Lord, C!
Yep, I'm retired and in Michigan in the winter there's nothing to do, so.Ohhh wow, did you turn all those bins into dry sift? That must’ve taken a while, did he literally help you with all the work too or just the idea was his?
