I’ve been using tap water treated with API water conditioner to remove the chloramines. It’s a living soil with my compost, Kellogg raised bed and potting mix, perlite /pumice and some worm castings.

The nutrients should be fine due to the cotyledon but this plant is turning an odd lime color. My other plant still holds its green color but is also lightening.

They both were germinated at the same time and the lighter one took a little longer to sprout. Ignore the DE on the older looking plant.

I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong my temperatures are around 81 and I can get the humidity around 74 with a humidifier. I know this isn’t ideal Vpd but I’m making due with what I can.

First things first. Relax bud. Your plant looks O.K. If anything she is just hungry. What is the white stuff?
What I'd suggest is catch some rain water if you can. If not run your city water in a 20L bucket and let it sit 48hrs.
Scratch the water conditioner. God knows what is in it.

From now until she starts flowering use Muskie in this special sauce.
When she has finished stretching. Switch to Alaska More Bloom and Molasses as in the video.
Time to supercharge your soil. You should be able to find Muskie at any hardware store or garden centre.

Good old Crosby's Molasses from the grocery store.

Alaska More Bloom

This mix will feed your microbes and in turn your soil will provide for your plants. Big time!

I'd also suggest that you also hit her with Gaia Green or some other nutrients asap

You also need to rake in 1/4 cup bone meal around your seedlings asap.

This should get things going.

A couple of good hand fulls of your garden soil in a bucket.
2 potatoes as in the video.
No strainer bag needed just mix it in the bucket set it in the sun and pour it on your plants.

Thank you for the response, the white is diatomaceous earth. I have done two molasses and worm tea treatments prior to even planting my seedling. Also four weeks prior I top dressed with Craft Blend by build a soil and then again at two weeks before I planted so the worms and bugs could break down the fertilizers. I was trying to refrain from buying all of that because I have my own vermicompost and the craft blend.

I’m sure those things bring on bigger yields but I’m trying to budget my grow

how close is your light?
I currently have it set at the recommended height and dim settings (just recently went down to the lowest at 50% not knowing if it was being bleached. I have two spider farm sf100’s daisy chained in a 2x3x5 tent, an exhaust and intake fan. I’m concerned possibly the crossover from both lights may be the reason to blame for too much light. Was running it around 70% for a while. I have a light diffuser arriving soon I hope and can know exactly what ppfd and DLI theyre receiving.

You preloaded the soil they are in with molasses? And castings for a seedling?
That’s most likely what’s wrong.
That and light intensity.

It’s a living soil and I watered it twice with worm tea/molasses in four weeks. I also added top dressing of Craft blend two weeks prior. The seed started in a solo cup of just perlite and coco coir. It’s basically still in a cup sized area of coco and perlite just inside of the living soil. Not sure how big root systems are at 8 days but don’t think it’s come in contact with anything in my pots.

Ah, right on.

I assumed that this was an out door grow. Yes, Nick is on track with the light stress. I'd back it off to 30" and watch close. The seedling is young and easy to burn or over water. She will grow into stronger light as she gets taller.

As you are trying to keep it organic on a tight budget. Check out this web sight. You will learn how to make all your own fertilizers.
Next time plant your seed in your potting soil rather than coco. It just better for the seedling.

You may enjoy my 2023 grow. 100% organic. I made all the fertilizers as per Nate at Grow like a Viking.
This is all super easy to make at home. And as you can see it really works wonders. Don't forget Cannabis is just a plant like any other.

My 2024 grow is also organic. Basically the same as the 2023 grow. Have 4 very nice plants growing. Although I do organic outdoors with a little care
there is no reason you cannot use these fertilizers indoors.

I just raised the lights a couple of inches on top of putting the intensity to lowest recommended. I’m sure the crossing of lights is giving way more than they can take currently. Will I notice the color to change or is it set at this color now due to bleaching??

I wish I could grow outside I’m still in a frowned upon state so discretion is key. I would also be really worried about bugs seems like we have so many aphids here. I tried doing milkweed and they got destroyed.

You also provided a ton of information to which I’m grateful for

Give something like this a little thought for next time around.
This is my indoor grow space. Not quite 24" x 24" X 48" tall.
Super simple and affordable.
