Gotta say, pretty much every single one does haha, it’s not just for tradition it’s the driest wood at the house, can light it up quick as fuck if heat is needed quick, we rotate wood up here to let it get sun for a day or 2 to thaw in the winter the suns on it all morning so it melts the snow off from the yard piles lol

I have to possibly ruin some kids life now. Because he forced me to.


One of the grounds crew got real upset with me yesterday. I had him get off his phone while he was supposed to be doing a task probably 8 or 10 times. Ended up spending him home.

Now I'm on my phone at work all the time at work, but I wip it out in between tasks, usually right after I finish one. After pointing that out he got real puppy and pissy. Told him I'd see him Friday (he's scheduled off tomorrow)

Well I got here at about 830 today. All systems go. Grab a brush cutter to head out and work on some of the rough.

Saw the kids car pulling in as I was leaving the pull barn. Figured whatever, he's gonna come pick an argument with a board member and I'ma get told to fire him. Oh well.

If only it was that. The kid came in today and shoved one of those "pc killer" USB sticks in our machine that contains all the billing and membership person info. Then took off.

We have so many cameras it's stupid, and he knew that. It's a country club. I have 4 separate angles of him coming in and doing what amounts to tens of thousands of dollars of intended damage.


We're about to have everything transferred and setup with new systems thanks to the IT/cloud flare people. He didn;t even set the club back a full day. Idiot...

And now this 19yo kid who was just mad I told him to get off his phone, is going to have multiple felonies on his record. And i can't do anything about it because the board is pressing the charges. He deserves em too, im just at a loss with this level of stupidity from who i considered the sharpest kid on the crew.

It's well on into felony and the board will be pressing every charge they can, so they're saying anyway. No idea if its first offense or not, probably his first adult offense, but idk lol.

His charges may get reduced, hell probably just end up on probation, but he will not have charges dropped with a price tag that high in TN, isnt gonna happen lmao.


I spent 6 years on probation in this state as a teenager for accidentally steeling a far side comic book from Books a million, and returning it on my own prerogative the next day. Books a million banned me from the store, called the police, they issued a citation, and a court date, charges were not dropped. Not even close, they actually got amplified at court.

Was my first offense, and i was a kid. And imho i commited no crime at all, whatsoever, was barely even a misdemeanor if i did. Tn, land of hypocrisy. real pretty place though. And the people are usually amazingly good to you

I actually got put on probation til 19 again, because a cop saw me kick a goose that was attacking a puppy, and charged me with animal cruelty. The goose walked away fine. The charge stuck, and they didnt even expunge it when i got off probation at 19. Still shows.

dude in tennessee, even the county jails are privatized and used for slave labor.


They get unlimited batteries from the homeless too, sleeping in public is a felony punishable by up to 2 years in state prison here. Usually youll just get charged 11/29 though, and get thrown in a county jail with only 30 mins out of your cell a day, and not for rec time, to manufacture crappy products at about 25 cents an hour commissary pay.


Kinda sucks, its some of the most beautiful land, and best people in the country imho. Especially in the east of the State. Its a shame our state government is so fucked up.

You gotta be doing something wrong for TN to come after you. But if they are, you better pray you have some of the best attorneys around, or your screwed. Even when people drop their charges the state always picks em back up, especially felonies, often amplified not reduced.
