2 apollo seed never popped. Soaked and paper towel. First seed is dead 2nd seed hasn't popped after a 48 hour soak. I'm going to move it to a paper towel today but I honestly don't expect it do anything.

I'm not buying from RQS again. I'm very used to smoking my money so that part doesn't bug me as much as wasting several days to discover the product is bad. I could be into veg with another plant by now. That part bugs me so bad that this will be my only go with these guys. I've seen seed supreme has a guarantee. I guess I will purchase through vendors that guarantee their seeds.

And when they started the thread saying "ask me anything" I was actually impressed and thought it showed that they were behind their product l! 🤣

I saw someone describe this seed line as hot garbage. After 5 days of fucking with what seems to be garbage seeds I cant disagree.

Just dropped 3 northern lights auto to soak in hopes to get 1 seed to pop. What a waste. I think I see why they give away so many seeds. I was given 10 seeds when I purchased 3x 3 packs of F1s. 5 seeds deep to get 1 tap root?

Right. Oh well. I'll probably get all 5 seeds germinating in 3 days then I waste all the ones I'm complaining about not popping because I'm not so good at waiting. But still, 2 or 3 days seems sufficient to call it. 5 is official, no?

Have you tried letting them float in a cup until they grow a tail?

48 hours each.

Well, but I mean have you tried leaving them in there until they grow a tail or you pull them before they grow a tail? If your current method fails, I'd suggest you try leaving them in there until they grow a tail (or sink, in which case try the paper towel method).

I did that on seed 1. I soaked it for 48 hours. But instead of doing the paper towel I put it in a seed starter block. I watered it appropriately for 3 more days following the 48 hour soak. So that's 5 days of 2 germination methods that I've previously been successful with. After 5 days still nothing from the seed starter block.

I will give seed #2 an additional 24 hours to soak before I move it to a paper towel.

Go ask RQS in the thread they started
Oh wait, they don't post any replies......

Makes me nervous hearing all this stuff about RQS, I have 12 autos seeds from them and I'm not going to be happy if they dont germinate.

That totally sucks bro. If you're looking for Apollo again, Brothers Grimm seeds has it and I've had great germination rates from them. I'm not sure if they have a guarantee but they're pretty good people and will likely replace them anyway.

Ive had great germination with my seeds from RQS. 3x GDP auto, 2x Epsilon F1, 2x NL Auto...100% germ

The RQS F1 line of seeds, seemed like I had 2 runts, but they were designed to be small plants....and it was my first grow ever....So I messed them up a bunch.

I did their NL auto recently and they grew great. All seeds less then 6 months old

But to respond to the original Q, I'd run a couple seeds and change up the germination style?

Did you do direct seed to soil? What soil and amendments?

I get all my seeds from RQS and wondering if they have a germination guarantee?

I've searched their website and Google, don't see a germination guarantee for RQS.
Fast Buds has a germination guarantee, and they honor it.

Thanks for doing the homework bro!

I like RQS so far since they give a bunch of freebies and discounts.

I'm going to check out FastBuds out of curiosity.

I said fuck it and pulled the seed from the starter cube. It was still moist from the previous watering. Seed was still just a seed. I squished it. It was still super woody. After 48 hours soaking in a cup of RO water and 5 days in seed starter the damn thing was a rock. I squished it until it popped. It was too tough. Maybe the sand paper trick I've read about would have helped for this? I mean it's definitely dead now because I squished it and now I see the tap root. Lol. This seed was 100% not going to pop. Just for giggles now I have it in the same water I'm trying to pop it's replacement.

This is my 2 Apollo F1 seeds. The large dark one is the failed to germinate squished from rage seed. The other has been on water just a touch over 48 hours now.

The 3 NL look like they are about to pop after 10 hours.

The problem is specific to my Apollo RQS seeds. All 3 of the NL autos I dropped are sprouting a tap root after 24 hours. Still nothing from both Apollos.

RQS responded to my email and asked for pics and germination methods. Let's see how they handle what is clearly a defective product.

Regardless of what they do they do this will be the only time I use them.

In 2023 all three of the Zkittles equivalent that I bought from RQS failed to manifest meristems

this year a whole pack of purple punch were sealed improperly and they sprouted and died in the little packet, they saw my post about it and told me to contact their customer service, when I did they told me we have no idea what you're talking about, here's is a 20% coupon and now piss off, to paraphrase.

Their cheese I grew earlier this year was a big nothing, I threw it in the compost. I currently have three of their northern lights in the garden that are also doing next to nothing.

You can read my experience with RQS in a thread called 'The Beach House'

I will not be buying RQS seeds again.

when i joined growdiaries years back, rqs offered me some sponsorship, 1 batch of ten euphoria didn't germinate, half failed germination rate with another batch of ten royal highness (wich was nice), and one mixed unknown auto with some hazeberry photos (wich were nice) with another batch, i gave up with them since tho' i have seen many people growing their seeds without issues on growdiaries.

this guy has a lot of great diaries with beautifull plants from them
