I have a small sativa dom in ground that sexually matured after my likely faster flowering (when Indoors) indica plants, that dropped into flower literally a few weeks sooner then the older mature indicas. As expected. And this is why lol.

I have plants put in ground at the same time flowering later because they matured first. And yes, that DOES actually make sense lol. The limiting variable here was on which side of, and how far in time from the solstice it was the plant hit sexual maturity. Corn, non autoflowering marigolds, and chrysanthemums work the same way (most of the time). You can easily manipulate the way they flower by timing the maturation alongside the solstice. Takes lots of guess work out the equations too.
Okay, so, in your opinion, when should I start seeds next year?

Thank you!

Atm the cali blues is on day 45ish I’ll have to check dates I think I flipped her about 4th if July, she usually runs 73-75 for me I believe

The Frostette is about day 61 or 62 today woulda been chop day on my last run but I think shell get 2 more days or so, maybe 1 more watering and dry out

Frostette is super quick, the okie frost up like crazy at day 40is in all the crosses and they just stack till mid 60’s

In my opinion it doesn't matter as much when you start them, what matters is getting them under increasing daylight hours before they preflower. Ideally a week or two before they preflower at least. And making sure you line up the photo. Ahead of time to the photo on the day that you want to plant. Even if it's not quite there yet outside

Then just like my plants they can mature and preflower in mid May to the end of May without revegging

Honestly and truly if the plant has no autoflower characteristics and it is exposed to increasing daylight hours consistently for a time period before it pre-flowers it's not going to try and flower and revegg. I've never once seen that happen personally.

This is another example of reasons plants can go into flower early without revenging when they never revegged in spring

This is also the reason that I am calling those two sativas but not that small mexi red Afghani plant fast flowering. That mexi read plant was just timed perfectly with the solstice by chance.

Another commonly misunderstood genetic thing, is that that crossing and inbreeding to stabilize the lineage is something that is done to make breeding with a lineage more predictable.

When it comes to plants if you want access to an unlimited amount of the same phenotype of a given plant expressing the same you make self-pollinated S1's lol.

Cannabis is honestly like the only genetics field we're back crossing an inbreeding became the norm as far as moving forward with lineages goes. And that's just because breeders misunderstand the purpose of that crossing and stabilizing a phenotype.

If you breed with an S1 of a particular phenotype you'll have much more unpredictable phenotype variance as a result. You don't have that breeding unpredictability with stabilized phenotypes like you do with s1s. But you also cannot translate vigor and rapid environment response in most cases either.

I am two days behind you on mine. Not nearly as pretty as yours! One of these days.

i have a lifelong obsession with the scientific method. And that is what brought me to these conclusions lol.

If something isn't adding up or making sense in my experience, i somewhat aggressively pursue information around it until it does make sense to me lol. I like to think im just a hardcore scientifically minded cat, but my social experiences here are letting me know im also a bit of a brutish ass that probably comes across as a straight up know it all most of the time lmao.

Earlier i went into a thread organic13 made about juglone and walnuts, and on my end i was all like "Yay, my thread disapeared, i can add a lot of useful info to this"

But i just totally came across like an absolute 1st rate ass-hat i believe. I created tension for no reason where none was needed at all, and probably completely turned her off entirely to a very valid pursuit of knowledge.
