Was wondering what is considered in flower? It's been about 8 days and they have stretched quite a bit. Is preflower considered flower? At what point is it considered flower?

I did the exact way for a long time with great results. Now I grow living organic soil. No more feeding schedules.I’m a newer grower. I write the flip date on a marker and leave it in the soil.
Then I follow a feeding schedule from the nute line I using. Helps me give a proper feed
On the forum I try to express “ date from flip “![]()
Good catch i saw them and thought hmmm looks older LOLMy last picture in my post above should of said Week 4 Flower, not week 1.
I still consider the first day I flip to 12/12 to be the first day of flower for record keeping but I know those first 3 weeks for the actual plant to be a transition period.
In my record log it would look like:
Week 1 Flower (Transition)
Week 2 Flower (Transition)
Week 3 Flower (Transition)
Week 4 Flower
I watch for the leaves to be praying. They will look like they want more light. Then I turn upOnly reason I'm asking is I turn my light up in flower and wasn't sure when to increase it.
Thank you all for your support!
What NEwty said! Transition period. I have seen one grow (Sativa heavy) stretch for 4 weeks but that's rare for me, usually three weeks. After they stop stretching (looking for the missing light period) they realize.. we better produce.I personally consider the first 3 weeks after switching to 12/12 to be "Transition" and week 4 starts flower.
During the Transition period, I'm slowly changing nutrients to prepare for flower.
Pics in order:

When I flip to flower, I let the light stay at the same level for the first week (40%). Then I increase 10% each week. Week 4 I go anywhere from 10%-20% each week and always watch for signs of light stress. I then keep higher intensity and start lowering later in flower.Only reason I'm asking is I turn my light up in flower and wasn't sure when to increase it.

This is the WayWhen I flip to flower, I let the light stay at the same level for the first week (40%). Then I increase 10% each week. Week 4 I go anywhere from 10%-20% each week and always watch for signs of light stress. I then keep higher intensity and start lowering later in flower.
Week 1 Flower (Transition)- 40%
Week 2 Flower (Transition)- 50%
Week 3 Flower (Transition)- 60%
Week 4 Flower - 70%-80%
Week 5 Flower - 80%-100%
Week 6 Flower - 80%-100%
Week 7 Flower - 70%-80%
Week 8 Flower - 60%-70%
Week 9 Flower - 50%-60%
This will change a little depending on flowering time of the strain.
Lowering intensity toward the last few weeks mimics fall and also lowers temperatures which is a must toward the end of flower IMO.
