Here it is! Cuttings to be taken tomorrow 8/26 this will be a very labor intensive project as I’m really needing it to succeed! So making sure the cuttings are staying wet enough through out the day is going to be top priority! I didnt get a drain hole in the base but it will happen. Thats a project for when I convert it over to a pump and water sprayer, which then I’ll make another legit tote top.

didnt getthe cuttings taken yesterday! Im going to quit telling y’all shit and then not doing it! “ i… promise…” hahaha!!!!! It’s my sons B-day today so were doing some partying and what not, but im going to use my wife being home to get a few things done in the shed! (Needs to happen)

Quick update on the cutting/clones : got a few of the plants I liked by look. This was a hodgepodge of a cutting sesh! I topped a couple plants and used those for the cuttings and then I took some cuttings off other plants from lower without topping. Just wanted to see how it all reacts in the cloner. All the cuttings but the last little one got cloneX gel, it was to short to dip down into the gel. Fingers crossed it stays wet enough for them! : )

Good morning everyone! Checked on the cuttings this morning. Most are looking ok, some have that “not loving life look” but hey they just got cut off their home plant and have been suspended in a waterless tote lol!!! I was able to hook the 6L humidifier to my wifi controller as the unit has the will resume pre programmed function after power is re applied! So now they get humidification more often.

And as usual the sf1000 is still blowing my mind! It’s rocking the two bigger GDL’s I have and allowing all the other seedlings to pick up the pace!!! (Light set at 40% at about 24”)

I just lift the foam lid up when I want to check things. This is kind of a “aero” more than hydro. I have the humidifier coming on a ton! Definitely a “we’re going to try this and see if it works” kinda thing thanks Gal!

I see that how it works, i was just concerned about the depth of the cut stem. I think it's a fantastic idea for those who take lots of cuts.

Oh there are some cuts that are VERY SHORT! lol. They may barely come through the foam lid and are smashed in the collar!

I do plan on switching over to the hydro sprayer style (pump and emitters) I have seen nothing by success from those! : ) thats a “big money” project haha (big money is relative the money I do have!)

Yeah I was going to try the water in a cup trick but the thought of doing that with plants I dont have sexed yet along with the quantity im shooting for frightened me away from doing that and looking into this (size and style tote cloner)

The days are growing shorter, the nights colder. Our food and water supple are dwindling, moral is at an all time… hold up, wrong journal! hahaha!

The cuttings are perky the cuttings are perky!!!!!

Exciting stuff! I think they all wilt a bit depending on how fed they were before the cut. I've had some look like I killed them after the cut, and some looked like they didn't even notice getting the chop, but they all root!

Once they perk back up, they are on their way!

Ok thats great insight! They were a little on the dryer side of “watering” and have not been getting the normal grow feed I used so it could have been less than ideal! But they perked and that was an amazing feeling to see! Thanks Tumble!!!

Pretty sure I have some activity in the root area of the cloner! Just one stem had the pre nub looking things, nothing else from what I could see. I added three more tops to the cloner the #1 and #2 tops of the GDLs and a broken top off an XX I got a little extra handsy with only said fudge and stuck it into the cloner! Wouldn’t have considered that hadn’t @Captspaulding posted his pro tip about broken plants!
The seedlings are moving right along! im going to up pot them in a couple days, they just got watered today. And the GMOxOkie is rocking and rolling along after my brutal up potting nonsense! hope y’all had a good weekend! Take’er easy!
