I forgot to water the patch before I left for the country club today lol. Little ole mexi-red was waiting up on me to get home.🍳 She had words 🤬 It won't happen again. 😅

we could totally make it an outdoor grower challenge.

Im definitely down for that one.

Mystery sativa would solve a bit of that. That things an easy grow easy pull both, mark my words. Biggest plant i have too. Def gonna be the easiest to trim and dry out the fastest after getting wet too. Total unicorn pheno. Still on track for end of September ish harvest at 36.5N... prob a week later up north, maybe 10-12 days. also wouldnt mind to just send a bunch of the same s1 specifically for a contest lmao. although thinking about it, that would limit it to a single country really.

im prepared to loose probably half my crop up here in the mountains, was when i planted up here lmao.. Potentially anyway. (Lookin like mostly oj x bb, and biggs though lol) Im not going to be doing any spraying. Gonna post all the dirty pics too. I wanna know which of my phenos are gonna take the mountains best once they start to go cold at night here in a month or so.

They dont call these here ridges the smoky mountains because of smoke, thats for sure. The autumn dew falls here are literally stuff of legend lol. That shitty citrus soda is name after our moonshine, which is named after the absurd amounts of dew we get out here in the fall.

The mystery sativa or pb1 either one would slay a height content though lmao.

My heart goes out to first time growers doing the outdoor thing their first go. Especially if its gone well til now for em 😅💚
My grandparents took me to Gatlinburg many times growing up, many moons ago. I absolutely love it back there. ✌️

Gatlinburg used to be cooler. It's just a big amusement park and a giant chunk of litter on the real Tennessee now unfortunately. Takes 45 mins to drive 4-5 miles because of the amount of people there. Shoulder to shoulder on the sidewalks and most businesses on nice days now. Right past gatlinburg though 😍 😍 😍

Most beautiful stretch of country. Ever. ✌️

What's up cap!? That cali dream is great for outdoor, new staple in my rotation man. It's a freak! I took like 4 clones off her well see if they root I haven't done clones in a long time 🤣
What used to be a stick with what would have been a sad cotyledon left is below

having been through most of the country in a car more then once..... Yes, it definitely is. The only place that even shakes a stick is the PNW and some parts of Az imho. Beauty wise.

These are all my own photos. These are all local enough to get to on my Ebike as well. Most from early April.

This first pic is the view from about a 5 minute bike ride. Im actually higher up then this shot.

Hate to be that guy, but i am that one guy you know after all.

It is not early enough to make a claim on whether a plant is a great outdoor plant or not unless you know the plant/cross well lol. At least not imo. Not to be a douche i promise lol.

Although i would imagine a plant like cali dream to be a great outdoor plant. I think cali blues would be too, i just got a really drought sensitive pheno first pop. Gonna hunt her some more. Sick nasty plant though, in a good way.

Anything that comes back from what it did is a genetic freak, the next month or so isnt gonna sway me. Its definitely my outdoor roto🤷‍♂️

Not to de-pedistool it for you or anything, but Just about any real sativa dom would come back from something like that. The wild hemp in KC came back from being mowed every 2 weeks to still make seeds and do it again the next year. I cut my mystery sativa back clear to the ground essentially. Twice. currently it's now my second largest plant again lmao. Real sativa's are just like that vigor wise outside.

Being a sativa Dom lineage with the reputation of Cali dream or blue dream it'll prob bud out fine outdoors. But counting chickens before they hatch is just a legendary phrase for good reason lol.

Mainly referencing an individual phenotype of a goven lineage's individual resistance to pathogens and fungi when the nights turn chilly lol. That tends to be a plant by plant, individualistic kinda thing come fall. But sativa's generally do leave me far less concerned about mold and rot. Completely different thing then a given plants vigor while exposed to the elements unfortunately.

The two things are sometimes very disappointingly unrelated in the end lol.

There's a certain leaf geometry, and flower structure I like to see side by side on an outdoor plant personally. But that's also my own thoughts and opinions. Not anyone else lmao.

So yea I guess I am that guy. I stop now lmao.

I have grown for long enough in my environment that I would be very surprised if anything got to it.

🤙 Pretend I never said anything lol

I lose track of who the new growers are and who aren't lol.

Tangentially unrelated:

Lol I don't want to spray anything through flower so I can test all my phenos rot resistance and catalogue it in my journal. But I got a couple out there that look awfully dank, and I can already tell by their structure if I don't, I'm gonna loose a lot of em to the chilly moist october nights here. And this will sadden me lmao.

Lmao, my brain has reset on a couple people in my DM's too, where all of a sudden for whatever reason I forgot they weren't a new grower, I definitely apologize for that to anyone I hit with it. The only ones immune to that are probably the mods and Captain 😅🤣

You and rama too now though

I hope they make it for you 👊
This year I tried to only plant seeds that would finish by October for that exaxt reason. It just rains all the time and gets cold at night, bud rot city in October. Plus we get our first freeze its rough. Even now there is PM around, outdoor is hard in some places for sure.

How far north are you? i dont remember lmao

Wanna guinea pig any of my columbian phenos outside for me next year? feel totally free to watch my grow finish up and pick whichever one you'd want an S1 from. Its kinda hard to find guinea pigs when everyone has a seed vault crammed full already though, so all good if a no. is an offer id extend to any outdoor growers, experienced or not either way. Pb2 has a eucalyptus metholness to her along side a sharp piney gassyness. If shes anything like her mother, she will be a very medicinal plant. Shes also the most indica leaning, and fastest flowering of my columbian cross phenos. Prob last week of september if she holds out. Absolutely flawless flowering structure too. One of the best i think ive ever seen without exaggerating. Also my most pest resistant phenotype out of all 14 out there. Never seen another plant produce bud sites like she does. Being half columbian shell prob have exceptional mold/rot resistance too.

this is a non stress related genetic hermie most likely, get her gone. And im sorry for your loss. If seeds result on any other plants bin em. I'd recommend not growing any more of the seed she came from, and if it was from a retail breeder, contact them, they my make it up to you, also, be weary of their products.

to be clearer, they can happen from any stabilize feminized seed. But if they start popping, theres been at least one too many careless inbreeding/selection generations involved in the lineage. Thats been my experience tinkering with breeding over the years anyway. Is the result of two recessive genes being inherited from both parents. The bare stamen "bananas" are a different thing all together. those are stress induced, even though genetics still play a role.

Fully formed flowers like that will always pop in week 3-5 of flower on lower more undeveloped nodes, and stress can bring em on earlier, but that kind of hermie would happen regardless of stress on that plant eventually in flower.
