I just made a bunch of pic albums…still need a few more. But I have some for bleaching, tmv, ectAny time I see a new example I try to throw it out here, I’m thinking of making a disease topic since I’m able to edit posts well past normal time I could keep it updated as a reference guide… I’d like visual examples of each issue though but I think it’d help greatly around here to have a easily searchable disease / pest topic I’ll even alphabetize it.
I know there’s a million sites that show defs and tox’s and pest and disease photos, but… we’re better than that! The plethora of knowledge here is immense, and with the amount of plants we all collectively grow I’m sure we can easily compile our own database to review from
When I have time I’ll start making a list of the most common issues and I’ll make posts asking people for personal grow pictures with said issue so go with the description. It’ll take some time and some work but I’m sure we can get it done!
With our own government as well as other governments confirming that they have unidentified flying objects in their own airspace regularly now, that the act of shooting down an unknown object could potentially have drastic consequences, it’s one thing to be able to communicate with a pilot and warn them to turn around or else, but it’s another thing entirely different to not have a line of communication or a known origin of a craft and then just shooting it down. Slippery slope is all I’m saying. It’s too bad that the entire world is full of humans fighting humans, we wouldn’t stand much of a chance at defending our planet from a non terrestrial threat. I mean they made a few movies about this.Bingo! Everyone kept wondering why they’d let the balloons enter our airspace intentionally… they wanted us to shoot them down over ourselves! Otherwise they wouldn’t have been seen!
15 ft above anyone’s highest point of their home is federal airspace compliant. I’ve got a friend who grows outdoors in northern Vermont and they grow multiple strains that finish early. The earliest finisher multiple years in a row now is 9lb hammer. They said that sometimes it will be ready for harvest as early as the last week of August. If I were to try growing outdoors I’d definitely be focusing on strains that finish early in the season. Like @Thatoneguyyouknow_ said growing outdoors is all about loss mitigation.Hey all..the one thing I think we all have in common I,,if u grow outdoors,is when they start to bud I feel like a nervous parent,.I mean the botrytis gets me every year..I was out putting up my plastic rain fly yesterday,as they were predicting rain and wind..so I'm out In a godawful storm trying not to be blown to Kansas,,,feel like I'm doing battle every year,Youd think I'd be smart and build a grow house shed!lolo.Question...is there somethingbi can add to feed water ,or spray on plants to stop this bullshit from ruining my crop????????,,I consistently have to harvest 2 weeks early,, which sucks. Cause all the good shit comes in last two weeks or so of bud.

Chunker bunker back in action! Love seein that sea of green in there brother! Lookin on point as always!Hey @Mikedin
Wouldn’t you know it, but your cement shoes is winner the growth race.
Out of 15 strains. I’m impressed.
About half are hitting that veg stride, I guess I’ll start feeding them @greenleafnutrients and wait for the show.
A close second in growth rate is
@Thatoneguyyouknow_ jack h x big bud
Then in third is purist indica
( @Putthataway ) that is tied with
Pbb x okie cman. Starting to see some nice differences daily.
Chopped a few heads off, gonna snatch a few more.
Let’s see them juveniles past and present.
Here’s a few of my belligerent many…..
NO MERCY WELCOME TO THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE
oh and I hope everyone has a great day, stays cool and refreshed, and that pests fuck off.
They be taking it well.
This is an awesome idea @Mikedin , once it’s all dialed in we’d be able to help each other spot and correct issues sooner rather than later, guys like the Captain who have that keen eye and vast amounts of experience can often,at a glance visually diagnose issues ( like light burn or calcium deficiency) and help others not struggle through their grows. I’m all for learning and sharpening my skill set as much as possible.Any time I see a new example I try to throw it out here, I’m thinking of making a disease topic since I’m able to edit posts well past normal time I could keep it updated as a reference guide… I’d like visual examples of each issue though but I think it’d help greatly around here to have a easily searchable disease / pest topic I’ll even alphabetize it.

Nothing I’d ever try to do, unless it was legal around here. I’d want to see my plants daily and not have to sneak out to them just to see them.It is for sure.

My nerves would be shot….
Someday I aspire to be half as good as captain at growing. Always impressed brotherHey @Mikedin

My cousin sent me this this morning, it literally echoes what you’re saying here. I find it alarming when two people who aren’t even connected with each other are arriving at the same conclusion about a subject.I think it probably has more to do with our insatiable use of pest/insect/fungicides, coupled with the horrific demise of insects over the last twenty years or so. The balance is getting totally thrown.

I got tired of chasing them all down.![]()
Tel me about it! Got that cali blues outside ready for pollen but seeing purple on new growth was worried as it’s pretty common to get boryitis up here but she’s just barely preflowering now, my assumption is this is not any type of fungus or disease but the result of a week of nights hitting 49-48f already and days into the 80-89f range so she’s definitely gettin the temp swing to encourage the the visual change,It is for sure.

Hell yes! I’m gunna set up something and I’ll let you know, maybe a shared google docs page those who want to contribute can have access to, you can self dictate or take examples from other places but nothing will be plagiarized, plan will be to retype each article in short-hand for ease of search, then we can even link other resources for each topic to additional links with infoI just made a bunch of pic albums…still need a few more. We got an air fryer about 2 years ago and I love that thing. Never would have thought cookies work in there but now I have a project tonight since I have a bunch of cannaoilI've been experimenting with alternate cooking methods for cookies as I no longer have a traditional oven. I have found the air fryer does a great job. I just need to find the perfect temp to time. Right now I'm at 350 for 8 min. Close but not perfect yet. It does work and honestly I feel it produces a softer cookie over the oven
The temp swings definitely increase the anthocyanins. Take a look at this privet. This is back in April when all the green new growth is coming in.. those purple leaves are the ones that made it through the winter. A bunch of the leaves drop in the winter, but the ones that make it through are deep red and purple.Tel me about it! I know the she was a deep purple strain when I did my seed / winter run with her so fingers crossed that’s what I’m seeing here
In addition to cold encouraging ourple hues , I have also been doing research on purple strains, when they naturally turn purple during growth it means there is An abundance of anthocyanins in the plant tissue, this is the same compound that makes grapes, blueberries, blackberries etc to get their purple hues, and also is the source of the antioxidants in said fruits,
When smoked it dosent have much of an effect on humans but it’s possible if eaten raw you could gain such benefits (not that any of us would eat raw non-decarbed weed for any reason, just stating the fact it may be possible to get such health benefits if you did) but I’m sure more research would need to be done to see how much the human body could absorb if rated etc based on the concentrations in the plant tissue.
TLDR that long ass rant about purple buds…
Maybe 4 tops out of the whole canopy so far have some purpling in new growth possibly due to major temp swings
Opinions?
You can buy an insert that will allow you to bake cakes and brownies also. I just folded some tin foil with light cooking spray works fine for a small batch of cookies. We got an air fryer about 2 years ago and I love that thing.
