I'm a fan of Emerald Harvest personally, but I'll use anything if I think it's suitable. I'm pretty sure they have or are coming out with an organic line, too.

I just compost for my organic farming, we try to operate with as little overhead as possible.

I have a bunch of new (to me) nute lines to try that I acquired at CannaCon 22. Stuck around to the very end, got hooked the fuck up. I had to pack that shit in my car like Tetris. Bringing a truck next time 🤣

But speaking of organics I have some Royal Gold products to try. They have this new organic amendment called Crown Jewels that they hooked me up with along with several bags of various growing media. Peat, I think, idk haven't even fucked with it yet.

I'm using this GreenPlanet nutrients stuff right now. Pretty decent stuff I gotta say. They have a liquid organic fertilizer, now, too. I don't have any of that, though.

Personally, I don't really care about organic vs mineral derived fertilizers. They both do the job, it's just different ways of getting there. One is more sustainable whereas the other is not quite so. I'm a firm believer in organic farming for the sustainability and less pollution in massive crops, etc. But for indoor grows, home growers, etc there's nothing wrong with mineral derived nutrients. Especially for weed/hemp, having grown it in both, no real difference can be noted. It's not like you can look at or smell a bud and tell if it was grown organically or not. Maybe some people think they can... 🤣

There are definitely differing opinions on this subject, though. Talk to any long time commercial farmer and they'll probably argue that mineral derived beats organic until the cows come home. Switching from conventional commercial farming to organic no-till isn't an easy task and costs LOTS of money and several years of lost revenue/yield while conditioning the soil in your fields for no-till organic. That's the biggest turn-off for most folks. However, it is worth it in the end, if you can get there.

But anyway not to go off on a tangent... I always say, use whatever works best for you and always be willing to learn and improve, and you can't go wrong! 🤠
exactly how i feel. Outside, in ground, i feel it's honestly almost disrespectful to do anything but organics if you have the ability to. But i dont really ever use bottle nutes. I use compost, manures, and natural loams. I dont even use perlite outdoors, i use pumice stone. I did however do a few mild micro feedings back in spring and early summer before i was confident in the health of the soil here. But im pretty sure that was unnecessary. Just a precaution while they got established in the soil ecosystem.

Indoors, i do whatever is most economical at the time for the desired result. Right now thats homemade compost in a peat/perlite based mix. And general hydro flora because i can buy it at the local county co-op store, and it's cheaper then botanicare and fox farm, their only other regiments that dont cost a fortune to buy because they say "organic" on the front of it. A well flushed bottle fed flower is more then enough quality for me. And im actually more confident in my ability to judge phenos indoors that way because of the consistency such regiments provide. If something goes wrong or unexpected, it's a lot easier to handle in that context too. to each their own indoors imho.

Hydro growers def need to stop putting their unused nitrates down the damn drains and pouring it off at the edges of their yards though. Seriously. Put that shit out in sunlight and let algae consume the nitrates before you dump it... Anywhere. It was not a coincidence the Blue river in suburb KC started algae blooming all through spring and summer only through the neighborhoods right after Rec cannabis hit. Rec growing hit, now all the bass and walleye are gone, and it's all carp and pond scum.

Oh for sure, my garden I’ll all organic, all compost and I do use the Tru brand organic amendments in there

I prefer organic but im thinking… if imma use synthetics why not go hydro?

Now im on the edge one foot off lookin at this 4 pot system for 89 knowing I’d only need to buy neuts and it’d take buying soil off the menu, but then I’d have to deal with any water issues and get into PH’ing again so it’s still 50/50

Can always pick up the 1 pot system for $30 or rh whatever and give it a go though and see how I like it, looking at these through they look like it’s be a pain in the ass to swap out the water in the buckets… hmm

Some nice veg shots of a previous run.
I know I’ve said it before, but for real, I’m of the thought, don’t ever let anyone tell you something can’t be done.
It’s always about what you, the cultivator are willing to put up with. It was a pain sometimes, but the knowledge I gained was fucking priceless.
First few pics Is the mazar lsd few more shots towards the bottom of the stack. Not hard to miss, it’s the plants that are getting Wiley.
I made some banner x cali d x lsd that’s pretty rowdy. Been meaning to hunt that down a bit. Soon I guess. 👊🏻🤡
I am just the opposite I totally invested most if not all my coin into houses and lots. 👍 🤣

Whorehouses and LOTS of Whisky👠🏚️💥🥃🍻🤣

Im biased here, im of the opinion the highest quality most enjoyable indoor grown flower ive ever produced was all DWC grown lmao.

I always just bought buckets pumps and stuff and put a system together myself though. You can make a much more robust system for the money that way. (this was prepandemic though, with most things post pandemic seems packages are always the better option now)

Heads up i could fill a 5x7 space very densely with 3 DWC buckets and vegging only for like a month and pull a couple pounds each cycle reliably. DWC is a force to be reckoned with when its dialed in. It even makes coco look slow lol. I pulled over 3 lbs from 3 plants in 5x7 under a single 1kw HPS bulb a couple times with high yeild sativas and like 8 weeks of veg and training. (yes, you can absolutely yield 3lbs from a single 1kw hps bulb with dialed in DWC and high yield sativas.)

It's also the cleanest (dust and mess wise), and least expensive method of cannabis cultivation that exists for the end result (when dialed in)

What in the world would anyone need
A tandem six person in line
Camping Porto potty for?
I can only think of 3 people I’d shit with all “howdy”
Me myself, and my latest kill.

🤣 planning to go APE shit soon I see

Sad face. Good thing I kept clones I can run in the tent. Don't think I'll get a good example of the lemon-pine OJBB pheno this go.

It's very sensitive to the septoria and fungi in general, it's gettting fucked up in all sorts of weird ways lol.

Seems to be my only plant besides Biggs that's sensitive to septoria though. Sadly both phenos off the list for outdoor lineage breeding now.

Looks like we got 2024 season's first casualty on the patch here soon most likely.

The #1 OJBB pheno "ole Blue" brushed it off like nothing and looking pretty dangerous now. The blueberry is getting stronger by day with her too.

Yeah I grew NFT hydro for years. I put my hydro system away for the time being. I'm enjoying being lazy and not having to touch my pH or Conductivity pens. Promix ftw. Sure, it's not quite as fast as hydro, but in my older age, I prefer "easy mode" 🤣 🤠

i unfortunately cant be that lazy. I wish lol. I have to RO my hard ass sulfur and mineral rich well water. It kills container plants.

The ph after filtering is always inconsistent between 5.5 and 8. Its always down below 10ppm though. I can mix feed and wait 15 mins one day and its right on the money.

I can do the same again 5 days later, and its reading like 4.8 lmao. If ya drop a 5ph solution on top of some my homemade compost, youll see a yellow leafed, red stemmed plant in like 24hrs lmao. It'll look like your growing in MG soil all of a sudden.

The water at the new property is exactly the same though too 🤣 (slightly worse actually)

i got the inverse happening over here. Maui 86 x Haymeadow.

capt, you're going to have about 25 different crosses coming your way this winter, reg f1s, that fem cross of the two big pure sativas and their S1s, a Peaceblaster Fem f2 between #1 and #2 pheno. And Every phenotype i have (pretty much, the keepers anyway) x Haymeadow lol.

The peaceblaster #2 and #4 x haymeadow. Gonna be some living legends in that one for sure.

Also Didnt realize you were an active fungi cultivator. Just thought a fan. Gonna have to throw in a clean plate of a CRS isolate me and a good brother have been tinkering with maybe. Theyre the sit down, shut up, and pay attention boomers, not the melt into a giggly puddle below the lip of the couch boomers. You know the one's. They're get work done mushies (so ya may not want em idk. Not very visual, but incredibly potent and thought inducing, will communicate with you and stuff, kinda like GT's on steroids) Idk why man, but that columbian shit just has a fancy for me or something. But all good, because that's very mutual.

Oh no I’m a Swiss Army knife my friend.
When the world ends, I’m one of those dudes most would want around.
I repurpose everything, can fix almost anything. Build almost anything.
Oh and drag around these giant fantastic balls of mine. While growing almost everything.

@Captspaulding

Not the biggest or most impressive isolate, but it's a blanket flusher. And can flush 4-5 times from WBS in coir ;) Thats a first flush coming in. The second and 3rd will be wall to wall.
